Casa Leo Loco

Great home for a group of adults or a few families. The layout is awesome and the vibe of the home is great. The only complaint i would have is 3 of the bedrooms are in a building separate from the house. There is only one bathroom for these three bedrooms. Whoever is staying in the top floor bedroom has to walk outside and go downstairs to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Not ideal for older people. The room has great views but the bathroom situation might be something to consider depending on your group. Worked out fine for us and we loved everything about the house!

Had an amazing time at Casa Leo Loco through Stay in Tamarindo! The house (Casa Leo Loco) was awesome! Very unique and excellent for a family like ours. My mom (80), wife, three daughters (15, 18 and 21) rounded out with daughters 21 year boyfriend. From the moment of booking, I worked with Cris G, our concierge from Stay in Tamarindo and she was literally, 'THE BEST'! She made the trip by helping me schedule a bunch of activities. We decided for this trip to do more water activities, than hiking or jungle/rainforest activities. Just our preference. Therefore, she coordinated rides to and from the airport, rental vehicle (Toyota Rush 7 seat SUV) for trips around with the entire family, and a 6 seat Polaris side by side (highly recommended) for the kids to drive all around town, beaches, off road, etc... Cris, also handled scheduling a private Catamaran tour, a two hour jet ski tour in the ocean, as well as Surf lessons. The final was the house comes with a boat rental for four hours. We elected to deep sea fish and caught Tuna and a huge 120 pound SailFish! Cris helped us with three private dinners which were definitely amazing! As for the house, it is located up the hill about 5 minutes from downtown/beach and the view from the backyard of the sunsets over the ocean was amazing! We had this view every night! The pool is unbelievable... I would highly recommend this house for families and couples. Not young children due to pool. Cris G and the team were excellent!

Great property for a group of friends or large family. The photos really don't do it justice - the yard was an absolute paradise! We had 4 couples and a single friend all in 30s-40s stay and each had our own separate space. We loved the openness of the common areas and views were spectacular. We felt incredibly safe throughout our stay with the gated entry and security guards. The housekeeper was amazing and she also made us coffee and breakfast, what a treat! Communication with the property managers was super easy and they will arrange activities, transportation or a private chef for you. The only things I wanted to share that will be helpful to others is that the 3 guestrooms in the tower share one bathroom and two outdoor showers. the heat also rises, so the upper bedroom got warm at night. However, for kids or laidback friends, it won't be too big an issue! There is no AC in the main communal area, however we didn't feel a need for it during our stay. The AC in the main bedrooms all worked amazing. As many note, there is a huge long hill to climb if you want to walk home from town, but it didn't bother us too much. It's a nice way to get exercise and if you're not up for walking, ubers are $5 to/from town - super easy and accessible location to downtown Tamarindo and some amazing shops, bars, and beach!

Casa Leo Loco was fantastic. The pool was great entertainment, shared indoor and outdoor living spaces were lovely, bedrooms were very cool y cozy, and the friendly staff did so much to make us comfortable (from laundry to a sparkling pool). The unpaved road up to the house is a challenge, but we drove down to the beach each day. Gracias! Pura vida!

We loved our stay at Leo Loco! The staff is top notch, the view is unbeatable, and the concierge service ALONE was probably worth the money! I would 100% recommend this place to anyone, and would happily stay there again.
That said, there are a few things about this house that I didn't notice in other reviews and are not mentioned in the description that I think people should know about:
1) There is no A/C in the main house. Just in the bedrooms. The main house is quite hot when the weather is hot and humid. We mitigated this by spending a lot of time in the pool. :)
2) There is not a "true oven" in the house. You have an oversized toaster oven. It was fine for pizzas and other frozen food. We didn't try anything fresh in there, and it may be ok for those types of items, but not sure. Just know there isn't a real oven.
3) The hill to get up to the house is insanely steep. You will need a car, walking is tough, especially in the heat/at night. We had a car and were fine!

The pool and sunset views made it hard for us to even leave and explore the rest of Tamarindo.
The entire staff was above and beyond. Camile was incredibly responsive and helpful. Iris was a ray of sunshine who made the house look like we had just moved in each day.
We have definitely found our forever rental in Tamarindo.

This property left myself and my friends speechless! Before we even stepped foot on the property the communication with Five Star rentals was fantastic. They helped communicate for golf rentals, an adventure tour, and provided recommendations. The check in process was seamless and they even helped bring some friends that arrived early a ride up the hill. Ana is amazing and really helped make our stay five stars! The AC was fantastic in each room and the open-air concept on the main level was great for immersing into the nature around you. The real star of the show was the pool with that view!!!! The pictures do not do it justice. The hill is the only downfall of the property, but when you see the view at the top it is all worth it! I would definitely recommend golf cart rentals for this property which helped with getting up and down the hill. Our group of 9 loved this property and have been recommending it to all our friends. This is truly a unique luxury rental!

Casa Leo Loco is a total gem of a property. The entire residence is meticulously maintained and very clean. The gardens and landscaping all around the property are so beautiful. The pool... was just WOW and absolutely perfect in temperature, size and views of Tamarindo and the ocean. Our host property managers at Five Star Rentals Tamarindo (Natalia & Ana) were so friendly and helpful. They arranged to have the place ready for us much earlier than our check in time as our arrival from Canada was quite early in the morning. They were kind enough to accommodate an early check in as the property was not booked that day, which allowed us to enjoy the property for the entire day instead of waiting all day for check in. Natalia and Ana were also very helpful in arranging for a chef to cook for us at the house one evening (which I would highly recommend with Catering Costa Events). They also arranged all our adventure tours and transfers to/from the airport. We were two families of four staying at Casa Leo Loco including 4 teenagers. The size of the property and number of bedrooms was perfect for 8 people (any more would probably be a bit crowded, depending on the age of the children). The main floor bedroom located in the tower (which has two single beds) was a bit "too rustic" for any of the teenagers to sleep in so I'd keep that in mind when booking this property as two of the boys ended up sharing a room and bed. The location of the property which sits on a hilltop overlooking the town of Tamarindo is amazing for its 180 degree views of the ocean and incredible sunsets....which were stunning to say the least. It's about a 10-15 minute walk down the hill to get to the main road in town and there are no shops or amenities on the hill. The hill is quite steep so I would highly recommend renting a gas powered golf cart (there are 4 seater or 6 seater options) and make sure to reserve it ahead of your stay especially during busy season. We didn't rent golf carts ahead of time and regretted it as the walk up the steep hill can be daunting in the heat and the path/dirt road up the hill at night is dark and not lit. You can also take a taxi up to the property for about $10 US one way as an option to renting golf carts. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Casa Leo Loco... and Tamarindo. This property, the view, and our friendly hosts will definitely have us coming back again soon!

We were in that fantastic pool with the ocean view everyday. We loved the outside patio gathering and grilling areas. This house may not be as modern and sleek as other nearby homes, but it exuded a charm and character that we just loved. Other reviews say the hill is a lot but "walkable". It is if you are young, and pretty fit. We are in our mid 60's, and although we are active and fit, it was not do able for us, especially in the heat of the day. We could walk down, but not up. We used Uber a lot, (approximately $4.00 from villa to town), and if you want to rent your own transportation, a GAS powered golf cart or car is needed. Places in town will not rent you an electric cart if they know you are on the hill as it will not make the steep incline. The people at Five Star were very friendly, responsive and easy to work with. The on site staff were equally so. We were afraid the onsite staff would have been intrusive, but they were not. They were very considerate of where we were in the house, and very helpful. The house was very clean and well stocked. We would definitely rent this house again and hope to do so in the very near future.

From the moment we entered the property, our vacation was perfect. Ana made us feel very welcome upon arrival and was very responsive to any question we had. She arranged all of our transportation to and from activities and recommended amazing tour guides and catering services. The house itself is absolutely beautiful. The pool area was where most of our time was spent and the view is perfection. The town of Tamarindo is a five minute drive at most, so shopping and restaurants are very accessible.

Overall a great stay! The road to get to the hill is pretty rough but the views are amazing. You will hear and likely see howler monkeys and lots of hummingbirds. The landscape and back yard are cared for daily and the tram is great at providing recommendations and responding quickly. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time! The view is beautiful, we enjoyed it every evening. The rooms were wonderful and a/c in each room was fantastic for sleeping. All the outdoor gathering areas were constantly in use and we loved the resident iguana, we named it “Lana”. Natalia and Maria were so easy to communicate with, and delightful gals. We hired Juan and Maria thru “Let Me Cook for You” and what a fabulous experience on top of the home! Tamarindo and Casa Leo Loco are unforgettable!

I got married in Tamarindo 4/16 and rented Leo Loco for my family to stay in during their trip. The Major selling point was the jump from the master balcony to the pool as we had several kids with us. It was an absolute hit with everyone who visited and made for some great pictures! Pros: -The view and pool area was unbelievable. -The management company (Maria) was super responsive and texted you back immediately. -Coffee bar is a great touch -The Master bedroom is absolutely to DIE for! -The caretaker was busting his butt our entire stay. they literally have a dude who spends 6 hours a day taking care of the plants, pool, etc. Cons: -Only the bedrooms have air conditioning, NOT the main room. This wasn't a huge deal for us but definitely would have been something I would want CLEARLY stated in the description. -The only bedroom connected to the main house is the master. All of the other ones require walking outside to access, which may cause an issue if you are traveling with kids and want them under the same roof. -I can't imagine walking the hill so golf carts/mopeds are a must. Overall, an excellent experience and we would stay here again.

Loved the outdoor pool area, BBQ and sitting at night. the sunset from the patio is breath taking. The house exceeded our expectations as this was our first trip to Costa Rica. The owner, Natalie was so helpful in making sure everything was perfect and helpful in any of our needs. If you plan to stay here definitely rent gas golf carts for the hill to the home. I'm not sure if there is heaven on earth but you can definitely see it from there! The house exceeded our expectations from the first minute we arrived as did the staff. They were prompt, courteous. and very helpful in so many areas I don't have enough space to list them all. We WILL return in the near future and IF the owner would consider selling we would like the opportunity to purchase the place. We simply loved the Casa Leo Loco and may have had our finest vaca of all time! 6 star if there is such a thing.

Casa Leo Loco was the perfect home away from home and the staff was on top of everything. The pool and outdoor area was spacious and the dinner table had a beautiful view of the sunset. I would definitely recommend for any family or couples getaway week.

Wow! If you're looking to visit Tamarindo, definitely do go! The sunset every night took our breath away. People are friendly, the shopping was fun, food was great and the beach is so nice. The house- Pro's (there were way more pro's than con's): -The house was private! We couldn't hear any of our neighbors. -We couldn't have asked for a better view of downtown Tamarindo from our house. And it was so close to stores, restaurants and the beach. -The house-keep/property management was great. Anything we needed (wifi, pool issues, silly questions, etc) was mostly addressed within a short period of time. -The house was great. The fact that there were three separate places for us & our guests to stay in was great for our respective sanity. -We had iguanas regularly visit us and our pool! -The space inside and out was big enough that everyone felt at ease. The Con's (of the area, not the house): -We tend to forget that many Tamarindo houses run on well water, so flushing toilet paper was a no-no, though not the homeowner's fault. -Beware of the scorpions. We found one on our very first day. Don't leave your luggage open during your stay, or they will find a way in. -That hill! Although we loved our rental home, we did not love the steep climb to get to it. We ended up renting golf carts. Overall, everyone was very satisfied with our stay and would definitely rent this house again if we're in the Tamarindo area.

Our group had such an amazing stay and the villa was perfect for our party. My partner and I got engaged on the patio by the pool and it was the perfect setting. The pool and houses were perfect, well kept and well maintained. AC was great and every inch of the property was welcoming. We even got to hang out with the iguanas who came into the house to say high a few times. Downsides were that you couldn't flush toilet paper and the house is up quite a steep, unpaved road which was challenging at times. The security system was a little confusing but ok. That said, we loved our stay and hope to stay at this amazing villa again when we journey back to Costa Rica.

We loved our stay at the Five Star Tamarindo. The views were spectacular and the property was very spacious and provided our group of 9 lots of room to roam. We were very comfortable and preferred spending our time at the house. I would return to this property in a heart beat!

Management was very helpful and communicative. Lots of space for a large group. The hike up the hill is rewarded with a fantastic view. We were a group of 9 people and we all loved the house. We especially loved the frog figures in the backyard. We were also visited by howler monkeys in the tree. A truly wonderful stay.

Natalia was great to work with and house was fabulous. Would definitely stay again. The views of the coast were spectacular and the house layout was unique. Just be aware that only the bedrooms are air conditioned and not the kitchen common area, but we didn't care. I would also highly recommend renting a golf cart....I don't think walking to the beach/Main Street is realistic for most families. All and all, we loved the house and would highly recommend it for couples and families.

We stayed here from July 3, 2019 - July 11, 2019 and my only wish is that we could have stayed longer! This house was perfect! We have 2 teenagers and a tween, we also had a family join us with 2 teenage sons, we all fit comfortably in Casa Leo Loco! We were never crowded or standing on top of each other. The pool is perfect! I have no complaints! Nathalie is amazing, she checked on us often to make sure we didn't need anything and always responded immediately when I reached out to her! Highly recommend this house!!

We rented 2 houses (Compass House and Casa Leo Loco) part of my wedding party stayed here and they truly enjoyed the house. They particularly loved jumping into the pool from the top balcony! If we wanted to request breakfast or even hiring a personal chef the amazing Five Star Tamarindo host (Natalia) made it happen...all we had to do was ask! I cannot begin to express how great Natalia was to work with. We had a lot of airport issues and she dealt with everything, so that our vacation was stress free. She also went out of her way to make sure the 1 year old traveling with us had everything she needed. Natalia also had recommendations for us for surfing, a chef and a sunset cruise. They were all amazing and went above our expectations! The house was beautiful and the view was unbeatable. It was very comfortable and we look forward to coming back soon.

Casa Leo Loco has plenty of space for us, we never felt like we were on top of each other. Different places to sit and relax and the pool and views are priceless! We spent a lot time at the house and cooked all of our breakfasts and dinners there. The kitchen was sufficient and the bbq was a great place to socialize as the grill master was doing his thing. There's an extra full size fridge outside beside the lounge area, which was perfect to stock our drinks. I just can't say enough. Beds were super comfortable and linens were better than hotels. Plenty of towels for both bath and pool. We loved our stay and will be looking back at the pictures with nostalgia. Also, Natalia and Mario were the best hosts I've come across when it comes to vacation rentals. So responsive, helpful and also super nice. Thank you so much! My husband was so happy and he will be talking about his 50th for years to come!

My family and I have thoroughly enjoyed our 11 now night stay in Tamarindo a destination that has far exceeded our expectations. Casa Leo Loco is a luxurious property that somehow manages to feel more like a home than a vacation rental. The view from the house is truly spectacular and offers picture postcard perfect sunsets. All of the rooms are very attractive and comfortable each has unique characteristics, something to suit everyone. Where to begin? Paradise. We stayed at Casa Leo Loco from 6/9/18-6/16/18 and instantly fell in love. First, the view. Spectacular. One of the best in Tamarindo. The outdoor pool and extended living area accommodated many early morning swims, afternoon cocktails and al fresco dinners. The infinity pool made it difficult to leave for any excursions. The website photos of the property could not be more accurate. Beautiful architecture and interior design. The house was spacious enough for two families. Although our group consisted of nine adults, the place was large enough and we never felt crowded. Many places to lounge and hang out to read a book or take a siesta. We were even visited by 8 howler monkeys! What an amazing sight. It does not get more tropical. The kitchen contained adequate supplies, dinnerware and pots/pans. Having 2 refrigerators helped, since we kept most of our beverages and ice in the outdoor one, while our food items remained inside. The house was clean and our trip came with 2 maid services throughout the week. All the bedrooms were air-conditioned. The first floor had a natural breeze when all the doors were open–we did not miss the A/C on the lower level (although we spent a considerable amount of time either in the pool or outside on the verandas). We hired a local cook named Karen, who prepared two delicious dinners and one breakfast for us. I would highly recommend her. Very reasonably priced, a terrific cook and a genuinely nice person, with a warm, affectionate smile. The management team of Mario and Natalia were top notch. Always accommodating. We relied on them to plan several excursions and help us navigate our stay. Every time I sent Natalia a text, regardless of the time, she quickly responded. She made arrangements to have a driver pick us up and take us to the airport, as well as act as our “unofficial” driver. Shouts out to Ronny!! When a small issue arose during our trip, both Natalia and Mario quickly addressed the situation to our satisfaction. Casa Leo Loco is situated atop a steep hill. Access to the beach is a 15 minute walk. Walking downhill was easy. Slightly more difficult on the way up . A few of us ventured to walk up hill several times. Good exercise. A cab ride for 9 $15-$20 per trip. Although other homes in the area might be more modern, Casa Leo Loco has charm, warmth and exemplifies everything we imagined Costa Rica to be. We'll be back. This villa was perfect for our group of 10. The four kids, ages 11-15 loved the tower rooms and of course the pool and its special entry platform. The main living area transitions to the outdoor spaces and pool area, creating a very comfortable and inviting area for everyone to relax and gather. The view is really spectacular. We used the outdoor grill quite a bit and cooked most nights. We usually drove up and down the hill to the beach where we easily found parking and access to surf shops to pick up surfboards for the day. The surfing is fantastic for beginners. The house was well stocked with beach towels and you can also easily rent chairs and an umbrella right on the beach. Outdoor and indoor areas were clean and well-maintained. Natalia and Mario were very warm and welcoming and attentive. They immediately addressed the few minor issues that arose during our stay and also helped us book tours of Palo Verde and Rincon de Vieja. I would highly recommend this property.

The walk from the house to town, while steep, was very doable and made for a great location. The property management company RPM was outstanding. We called once because a breaker tripped and they were extremely helpful to help us find and fix the problem. We arrived late to pick up the keys and were anxious to see how smooth the process would be. After following the instruction which were spot on, we picked up the keys and were in our way without a hiccup. RPM was by far the best company I have rented from and Caso Leo Loco was absolutely stunning. I can confidently tell everyone who has a chance to rent this place that it is a must.

"Casa Leo Loco provided some wonderful memories for 5 couples as we were recently invited to celebrate one couple's anniversary and another's 50th birthday. First, the views are absolutely world class, overlooking the surf in Tamarindo. Sunrise or sunset, the views are memorable. The house is well set up with a main gathering space (kitchen, living room, pool, and deck) with lots of indoor, and outdoor seating. It is easy to join in with the group, or find quiet nook to sit and read, or just take in the views. An outdoor kitchen allowed us to cook our own food on several occasions during our stay. The 5-6 bedrooms all have their own separate private spaces, and an air-conditioned retreat to get out of the afternoon sun. The owners recently installed an all natural bug spray system that kept bugs to a virtually unnoticeable level, day or night. That was a very pleasant suprise. The entire estate was clean and well maintained. Just a short drive up a rugged road from the town of Tamarindo. Probably best to have 4 wheel drive but we saw several standard cars come up the hill. Several in our group also walked to town and back several times. We went during rainy season, so many of the side roads in the area can get washed out and rugged at times. Tamarindo is full of restaurants with almost any food to match your tastes. Lots of shopping with several small surf shops in town. Strongly recommend this home to anyone looking to enjoy a first class property overlooking world class views".

Close enough to feel like you are part of the town, but far enough up the hillside to have privacy among your group. The property itself is a sprawling villa, different wings of the house offer spectacular views from different angles. The master bedroom suite is huge, the other bedrooms are private and unique. Pool area with bbq set up and courtyard can't be better. We went down with a group of 10, everyone there thanked me for choosing such an awesome place. The only improvement would be a to have a an actual oven in the kitchen and a bathroom on the ground level in the main house. Overall minor set back for such an awesome place. The house is beyond secure, so no worries about safety or belongings. We loved the villa and are planning to do a reunion trip in the next year or two. The management co was super helpful, pool service daily, and cleaning crew every couple days. We locked ourselves out once on accident but we were able to get a new set of keys within minutes.... Truly a well oiled machine in function. Casa Leo loco was great, the wildlife is prevalent and appreciated, the decor was clean and comfortable. This place, I think is legendary. One of our group members picked up a shuttle from the airport, the shuttle driver knew exactly where the house was and didn't even need directions!! In conclusion, we loved our stay, thank you very much to the staff and everyone else involved with this awesome property. If you are on the fence about choosing this place for your vacation HQ, just do it, you won't be bummed. Casa Leo loco rules!

This House is absolutely amazing. We had a group of 11. 5 couples and 1 single and this place worked out better then ever imagined. The property management RPM is fine to deal with. They were helpful with any questions i had and they let us keep our bags in office while we did a day out in the town. The house is very big and has plenty of space for a large group like ours. The master bed room which i slept has a balcony that looks over the pool and the views of the ocean and sunset are breath taking. The pool is absolutely stunning. Best pool in town by far. The pics do not do this house justice. When you show up and see with your own eyes then the beauty of this house really sets in. For such a large group the room situation worked out great. The outside shower the looks out to the ocean is worth checking out. The walk to town is not so bad. Yes you have to walk up a long hill but a little walking never hurt anyone. We usually walked into town and cab back. Most of us still walked back. The location of this house is great. its a cab ride away to the big market, and also close enough to walk into town. We cooked at the house twice and it was all great. full outside BBQ with a full propane tank. If you can swing it i would stay at this house. AMAZING Oh and for any adventures or tours talk to LEO at Overcast Costa Rica in town. Best prices and very honest/trustworthy. We used him for a lot of stuff.

I cannot say enough good things about the place. We canceled one of our beach days to just hang out by the pool with its fun balcony "diving board" and the awesome view of Tamarindo! All girls had a plenty of space and we took advantage of the kitchen, outdoor grill and the different hangout spots. The management company was very attentive and even brought in extra chairs so we could all sit together whether inside or outside. We all loved Casa Leo Loco and hope to return again soon!

We came to Casa Leo Loco with some reservations after reading some reviews. How ever we were really all totally surprised on how nice this home is. The photos really don`t to it justice at all, this is really a top quality mansion with a lot of space. Everything written about how the rooms is separate is true, but the court yard is secure and locking up a night is not a big deal, we had two families share the property and it worked fine with small kids, we just used a baby monitor to keep in touch. The kitchen is well stocked with spices, oils and all the basics and that is a nice touch. the BBQ area is really high quality, who ever built this place was a cook or a grill man, we gathered around the grill each night and cooked up some wonderful feasts and could seat 13 people at the table comfortably. (that is hard to come by) Over all there is a boat load of room here for us to spread out, there are two living areas (one inside and one out side) the tower room work great for us as one family just took that over. The view is as good as it gets and the wind comes through the house very nice each day to keep it cool. Jumping off the upper balcony into the pool was great for the kids and the pool was a lot of fun. I don`t think we would have enjoyed a place lower down in town as much as there would have not been as good a view and it would be much hotter... Like most people say the road up the house sucks, and it does but it is a short bumpy drive or a 10min walk. The view makes it all worth while. As we travel in a big family group of up to 12 people we have come to the conclusion that homes like this one with an epic view, big out door living space, nice bbq, lots of bedroom spread out and that view (again) is exactly what works for us.... I for got to speak about the second fridge out side, that is a nice touch with lots of people and is great for keeping all the drinks cold. If or when we come back to Tamarindo we would not stay any where different, this was perfect for us.

Reviewer Comments: Casa Leo Loco is loaded with charm, has a spectacular view and a great pool (even Nana & Papa jumped off the master balcony into the pool). The property is older but clean and well maintained with the exception of the outdoor cushions and dining chairs. We hosted catered dinners for 19 and it worked beautifully. The management company, RPM was very responsive. The dirt road up to the home has not been maintained and very tricky (the majority of our family lives in the CO Rockies and were not at all interested in trekking up and down that hill). The home may not be the best optional for families with small children. There is a master king and two double bedrooms within the main house. The detached guesthouse has a double with a bath on the first floor. A trap door leads to a wine cellar below containing two twins. Our grandchildren had the option of a treacherous climb or a dark outside walkway to use the bathroom in the middle of the night (btw, their mother found a dead scorpion in her home dryer – exactly when did creature meet its demise?). There is also a double on the second floor of the guesthouse with only an exterior entrance sharing the bath on the first floor. FYI, pictures online are outdated, the exterior has been repainted all cream and there is a new living room sectional - big improvement. Lots of home for the money if value is a priority.

We had some great BBQ's using the outside grill, and loved jumping from the master bedroom's balcony into the pool. The walk up the hill is a little steep towards the end, but coming home and having a pool to jump into right after to cool off, made the walk worth it. If you don't have a vehicle like we did, grocery stores do deliver which was useful for when we ran out of water, and snacks etc. Overall, I can't recommend Casa Leo Loco enough. Next time we come back, we will definitely be staying there!

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice Casa Leo Loco actually was and blown away everyday by the view. I don't view this as a negative but it would have made a difference had we known, other than the master all the bedrooms are disconnected from the house and each other. This was only a factor because of our young girls. They were afraid of being separated from the parents. Otherwise the house was amazing and we will go back. RPM was great to deal with as well. They helped set many excursions for us while we were there. Couldn't say one bad thing about this vacation.

The road to the house, like the majority of roads in Tamarindo, is dirt. It is also steep and so is always in various stages of repair - sometimes it's very good, sometimes, it's pretty bumpy. But it's always navigable and not dangerous. Some people find it fun and adventurous - some not so much. The tower is a building separate from the house, with two bedrooms and a half-bath. It does not have a shower, so we're not sure why the Sheila expeceted one. But to be more accurate, we have clearly stated that on our website.
