Villa Alegria

Villa Alergia is THE PLACE! We had the best vacation ever, Elsa helped us will all the arrangements, shuttles, tours and activities, and the house mom prepared delicious breakfasts every day for us. The house is amazing, has access to a beach and we enjoyed the amenities in the resort. We would definitely recommend this house!

Pros: The house is beautiful and the private neighborhood is secluded. There is so much space, and the pool was perfect. Staff is very friendly and did an excellent job of cooking and cleaning, though it helps if you can speak at least some Spanish. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were very thick so we had to steal the smaller ones from the bunk bed room. The SIT staff were wonderful - Elsa helped a ton with coordination of activities and shuttles.
Cons: The hot tub was not hot and was not fixed during our 10 day stay. Two of the bathrooms have water damage, which is surprising for such a new house. There's a big gap in the front door, so we had multiple crabs and scorpions visit us on the first floor. There is also A LOT of construction going on in the neighborhood, so we heard construction noise almost every day. There is a beach a five minute walk away, but this is very rocky.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend both the house and Stay in Tamarindo.

It is also great that the staff, Alejandra and Elsa, helped you to have the best vacation and experience. We appreciate very much your feedback about the hot tub, the insects and the construction. Unfortunately, the jacuzzi heater got damaged right before your arrival, and despite the efforts from the team to have it fixed in a timely manner, the providers and suppliers took longer than we expected to offer a solution. It is difficult to source replacements in Costa Rica and in this case we were unable to fix it as promptly as we would like. We were able to replace the heater, so the jacuzzi heater is working perfectly now. Regarding the insects, we found there was a tiny gap in between the door and the floor where apparently some crabs and escorptions were getting in. We have installed a plastic protection in between the door and the floor to prevent them from getting in, as well as proceed with the scheduled fumigation. Lastly, and about the construction, it is a reality that the area is getting developed and there are constructions in the neighborhood. At the moment this is the first comment we have received about it, since the closest one is across the roundabout and facing the front side, so it is not affecting the garden and bedrooms. We will do all it's in our hands to help on this. We would love to host you back in the near future! Thank you again for the visit

Wonderful service. We did have issues with the lack of hot water and we could not use the hot tub because it did not get hot. A few scorpions visited. Wonderful trip and very friendly people.

We had a fantastic time during our recent visit to Villa Alegria. Throughout our stay we received 5 star service from both Elsa our concierge, as well as Katherine our house mom. The house was absolutely beautiful and located steps from the beach. Villa Alegria will continue to be one of our favorite places to vacation.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! Our house how Elsa was so amazing and responsive even on her days off. My only complaint about the entire stay was that the shower didn’t get as hot as i would liked but other than that I 100% would do it again. Thank you so much for an amazing trip Elsa ?

Beautiful home. Looks exactly like the pictures. We were a group of 10 and the was very comfortable. We had so much space. We also felt very safe in the neighborhood. Having the addition of the house mom was great, she makes an excellent breakfast and Guac!!! We may have been a little confused on her exact duties in terms of cleaning up specifically but that was not enough to deter from the trip. The pool and everything was great. The house is only 15 min from Tamarindo the road to get there is a bit rough but obviously that’s not the AirBnb Host fault. The location was great tho we were close to the JW Marriot where we picked up our rental cars and we went to the Beach Club where the food was delicious. 10/10 on this AirBnb I would recommend them and would of course stay here again. The concierge was super helpful, she booked excursions for us, private chef dinners and was all and all excellent!

Our stay at this villa was absolutely wonderful. The property is stunning, brand new, and even more beautiful in person than in the photos. Check-in was a breeze, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect—private and secluded within a gated community, which made us feel very safe. Elsa, the Airbnb concierge, was absolutely fantastic; her communication was excellent, and she made arranging excursions and transportation seamless. We also had the pleasure of being looked after by Katherine, the housemaid, who prepared the most delicious breakfasts and kept the villa spotless. We highly recommend this gem!

We loved out stay at Villa Alegria, everything was really nice. Katherine did a great job helping us with the breakfast preparation and having the house clean, and Elsa took care of all the activities, bookings and great recommendations. The house is amazing, it has plenty of space for large groups. Having access to the beach in less than a 2 minutes walk was dreamy! Will definitely come back

We just came back from the most wonderful Stay at Villa Allegro! Elsa arranged wonderful activities and Katherine took such good care of us every day! Beautiful home and amazing staff!!! Elsa is an awesome concierge who helped us booked our rental cars, find local chefs and food, and find excursions. She was very quick to respond to all our messages. Katherine was a great house mom. She made delicious breakfasts and dips, some laundry and kept the house spotless every day. The pool and living spaces were beautiful. We had a great time, thank you!

The house was absolutely stunning and it could not have been in a better location, less than a 5 minute nature walk straight from the backyard to a remote beach. In addition, the house mom's were such a nice addition making us delicious food and even some nice cocktails. We 100% will be back!
