Coming Soon: Ocaso Underground Music Festival

What do you get, when you blend the great beats with tropical vibes, an awesome festival with Costa Rica's best music? Answer: The Ocaso Underground Music Festival, a world-renowned music festival that grows bigger by the year. Whereas Ocaso was once a one-venue, three-day kind of festival, it has fortuitously become a much bigger, much grander, and yet, still intimate kind of event: This year – well, technically nextyear, as the festival kicks off on January 2, 2019 – Ocaso Underground Music Festival, which is produced by Native Events, will span six days and six venues, with dozens of DJs, artists, and other musical events. It's about more than music, though: Ocaso promises to be a place where the world comes together and where spirits meld, together to celebrate the mystical energies of the Costa Rican forests, beaches, and mangroves.

Ocaso Underground Music Festival: Locations

This year, the Ocaso Underground Music Festival promise six nights of events that will take place at three area venues – each as magical, as spectacularly acoustic, and as photo op-worth as the next. Note that each locale will host two nights of events: El Be on January 2ndand 7th; Tamarindo Vista Villas on January 3rdand 6th; and La Senda's labyrinth on January 4thand 5th. If you have a special favorite, be sure to coordinate your attendance (and your tickets) for the venue of your choice.
  • El Be Beach Club: Located directly on the beach, El Be promises an excellent spot for a sunset drink and the official kick-off (and later, send-off) to the festival.
  • Tamarindo Vista Villas Pool: Located at the Best Western Tamarindo, Vista Villas offers incredible ocean views and a pool deck built for a great time.
  • La Senda Jungle Amphitheater: We can imagine no better locale than this middle-of-the-jungle location – a mesmerizing labyrinth!
Details are subject to change, so please confirm the schedule closer to January 2, 2019.
