RIO CELESTE HIKE
Rio Celeste is one of the most beautiful places we have in Costa Rica located in the Tenorio Volcano National Park, you will begin hiking through this area, following the bright blue current of Rio Celeste.
Your guide will explain the phenomenon of the river’s color, which occurs when sunlight reflects off minerals in the water at the convergence of 2 rivers.
The spot where the rivers join is known as the Teñideros, and you can see the magical event of the clear water suddenly turning deep jade and aquamarine when you reach the site.
Along with your hike, remember to keep an eye out for native wildlife like howling monkey, toucans, and vivid tree frogs lurking in the flourishing foliage. At the peak of your hike, you’re rewarded with the sight of a gorgeous waterfall cascading majestically into a dazzling pool of turquoise.
