The house was absolute perfection with views that simply cannot be topped! The pictures on the listing do not even capture how beautful! The travel coordinator, Cris, was so helpful in booking activities and answering any and all of our questions along the way. Wendy kept the house in pristine condition while we were out enjoying beaches and activities. Cannot say enough good things!

Wendy, the housekeeper, was amazing…she takes such great care of the house and is a great cook! Great communication with Cris, the concierge, very responsive and friendly. The house is located at the beginning of Tamarindo and very walkable to the busy area. The house is on a steep hill so a car or ATV is definitely needed.

This house was 100% accurate in the description, but it was even better than we imagined. The view was so much better than having a beach front property. Wendy (housekeeper) was the best she cooked us breakfast every day and cleaned up and made sure when we came home after being out every single thing was in order. Laundry was done even though we told her not to worry about it. Location was perfect for us as we rented a van for our week long stay it was just 3 minute drive to grocery stores or restaurants and bars and beach. Out of 20+ vacation rentals over the past few years this was by far the best house we have ever rented for our group of 8 (4 couples)

We had an absolutely terrific vacation at Villa Royal! There was plenty of room for the 7 of us at this magnificent home, and we would easily stay here again. There is plenty of space both indoor and outdoor, the kitchen has everything you need and the beds were super comfy. Wendy made us a delicious breakfast every morning which we ate outside while admiring the breathtaking view of the beach and the estuary (we would also highly recommend going on a tour of the estuary!). Wendy also meticulously cleaned the house every day to the point where it looked like no one was living in it. Our stay was truly luxury at its finest!
The walk down to town is steep, but totally doable, and it felt good to earn our drinks and food! If you’d rather not make the walk, it’s really easy (and cheap) to get an Uber.
We would absolutely stay here again and recommend this villa for anyone looking for a luxurious worry-free stay in Tamarindo.

1. We would book here again. Support from hosts is outstanding!
2. The property address did not render in Uber. We were able to circumvent this successfully multiple times by requesting an address a few houses away and redirecting the driver, but it took several minutes to figure that out the first time.
3. The Waterfall tour was mixed. The description states it is from 7am-4pm. When we got in the car, our guide said we would return by 6pm. We did not get home until after 8pm. We would have appreciated better communication about the itinerary at the outset and during the tour, once it was clear we would not return by 6pm.
4. We also could have benefited from better instructions on the gear needed. You will be hiking in your shoes. Most aqua socks have soft soles and are not fit for water and land navigation. I was concerned that my aqua socks would not endure the entire hike due to the rocky terrain. I wouls also strongly recommend a dry bag.

This property is even better than anticipated. It was a beautiful, high end villa with the most incredible views you have ever seen. The community was gated so you felt super safe and extremely close to beaches, shopping, great restaurants, etc. The concierge service was so helpful - very responsive, had great recommendations, helped us set up excursions, etc. The home also had daily housekeeping included and she would help prepare breakfast, snacks, do some laundry, etc. I cannot say enough good things about this home and our experience there. Honestly one of our best VRBO experiences EVER and we cannot wait to go back. This home was absolute PERFECTION!

If we could rate this property and its hosts more than 5 stars we undoubtedly would! It’s absolutely magical and has been the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica, our only mistake was not staying there longer! Let me start by how friendly and accommodating the hosts are, Adrianna, Cristina, and Christopher. I had an issue with my booking where my bank over-charged me for the transaction due to currency transfer. They were so accommodating to help me find a workaround immediately despite not being obligated to be able to refund the extra charge by the bank. The property itself has a magnificent private Infiniti pool overlooking a magical view over the coast. The house is very well-furnished, styled, & equipped. There is a lovely outdoor terrace with a dining table where we had daily breakfast prepared by Wendy the housekeeper. Wendy was our housekeeper who was very professional & punctual and prepared our breakfast everyday. It is also very well located. Cannot recommend it enough!

The house was modern and clean and looked as in the pics. The kitchen and living room opening to the pool area was a great feature and provided unbelievable views and lots of fun at the pool area. We did have a large number of ants invade the master bedroom on the second floor due to the rain, but we used the extra bedroom available to our group. The gated community offered a feeling of security where it is a only a 5 minute drive into the bars, beach and grocery in Tamarindo. It is a very steep road to the house and walking to the beach/Tamarindo would be difficult. The breakfasts made by our housekeeper were delish, and the concierge service was best in class! (Thank you Cristina). We had a great time and would stay here again.

We stayed at the villa for my sisters bachelorette weekend and the whole group could not stop admiring how beautiful the home was and what an amazing view we had overlooking the ocean. We also had traditional Costa Rican breakfast prepared by the housekeeper Wendy which further enhanced our stay. We would collectively be happy to return to casa royal, it was hard to leave this little piece of paradise.

STUNNING!!! This place is everything and more. Cris and Adriana were amazing and made sure that we had everything we could possibly need. They delivered first class service and arranged for a chef to come and cook several meals for us, massage therapists for much needed massages for the whole group, AND a private catamaran trip where we saw sea turtles and a WHALE!
The property is GORGEOUS and the view cannot be beaten. Do yourself a favor and experience this! TRIP OF A LIFETIME.

The house was incredible. Picture perfect sunsets and sunrises each day. The home was in immaculate condition. Wendy, our housekeeper, made the place look better than the Four Seasons every day, and was a great breakfast chef. This place is great! It’s clean, modern, and is nicer than the photos. We cooked for ourselves several nights in the Villa and the kitchen was great. The rooms were comfortable and the views were stunning. The pool was one of the highlights of our trip. I would highly recommend this place! Also, the concierge service is an awesome plus. They are super responsive and helpful with last minute requests.

Eventually, with everyone singing “heck no we won’t go” I managed to convince my family that we needed to check-out. The hardest thing to do - because we had a truly magnificent time. The house is perfect - great space great location. The town is friendly and real. The team at Vrbo superb, especially our concierge Cris who was ever helpful and always available. Just a special special stay.

The house is in a gated community with an armed security guard. The hosts are super responsive. Cris, the concierge, is incredible and will set all your reservations and activities. Also the inside of the house is super luxurious and beds are comfy and the pool is big enough. It is a lux property, just not labeled such. Things to know: - get a car. Hill is v steep and this house is above the fray of Tamarindo town. Town has great food so you will want to go there. - Be quick to close the doors behind you. beware of the Langosta (look it up ;) it's every where in coastal Costa Rica)

- get a car. Hill is v steep and this house is above the fray of Tamarindo town. Town has great food so you will want to go there.
- Be quick to close the doors behind you. beware of the Langosta (look it up ;) it’s every where in coastal Costa Rica)

Wonderful home with sweeping views across Playa Grande and the Tamarindo River and surrounding mountains. Great for our family of 4 because the house isn't huge but comfortable. Super convenient to town although you need your own car to go up a steep hill. Property Manager was responsive when we had an AC problem. Exceeded our expectations. The house was the highlight of the stay in the area.

WOW WOW WOW! At first, we were wondering if the pics on the listing were legit! And let me tell you all, pictures are legit to a T!!! The VIEWSSS from every room!!! The views from the swimming pool from the balconies on the second floor of the property!! WOW WOW WOW! The dining room along with the so spacious kitchen were absolutely amazing! Master bedroom is a DREAM!!!! From the balcony to the bed, from the closet to the shower!!! Also, super safeee area! Super nice staff at the main entrance of the complex!

If you are traveling with a group and need a breathtaking property THIS IS IT!!!! My birthday was soo special because of this property! I would go back again and again and again!

Great house ! Great location ! Great features ! Thanks for everything.
We stood there for 5 days (group of 8 people) and it was amazing.

TOP NOTCH. You want a chic villa this is your spot. View is INSANE. A short walk to the beach and right near all restaurants and shops. Host was able to answer all questions promptly. Good security to feel safe as well. Will definitely be going back. A+

First off, Adriana and Cristina were AMAZING hosts! Every question (and there were many!) was answered quickly and they really helped us to make the most of our trip. They also arranged for COViD testing in our villa - AWESOME! Can't say enough positive things about these two, definite ROCK STARS! As for the property, WOW. Absolutely stunning view and when you open the house up to the pool and view and let the breeze blow in, amazing. Everything was provided that we needed - plenty of towels, cookware, dishes, glasses, all available. Wi-Fi was great and the stereo was an added bonus. We were able to dance all night long out by the pool. Showers were great, excellent pressure and hot water. Outdoor shower got the most use! Beds were very comfortable and each room has it's own dedicated AC unit. Marvelous property, we will be back!
