Casa Kenkai

We absolutely loved our stay and we’re so grateful to Elsa and the team at Casa Kenkai! And we’re so grateful for Elsa and the team at Stay In tamarindo. Everyone was extremely responsive, quick to answer any questions and help solve problems and a valuable resource during our trip. The house is beautiful, very comfortable, large and great for a group or several families. The view from the pool overlooking the golf course with nothing but the sound of cicadas, the wind blowing in the trees and howler monkeys is absolutely beautiful. Access to the beach club for a small fee is an excellent perk of the house and we used it every day and loved it. Great food, there beautiful surf and a lovely pool and gym. Hacienda Pinilla is a great find with some really great restaurants nearby, including Lola‘s, and the new Mercado, I’ll rustico, and a great pizza place. We will definitely be back!

We loved Casa Kenkai! The house is very comfortable, it can accommodate 8 people, and has all you need to enjoy a nice vacation. The views to the golf course and the pool are the highlights of the property. Elsa, the Concierge, was very helpful and always checking on us to make sure we were having the best time.

We had a great Christmas at casa Kenkai and look forward to coming back. The team is very communicative and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. We did hear lots of animals at night and early morning- monkeys, coyotes, frogs, and many birds! It was fun for our kids.

Amazing stay at Casa Kenkai! Elsa and the SIT Team are wonderful host, and the house is stunning. Casa Kenkai has very nice views to the golf course, plenty of space for families, open kitchen and nice outdoor area to chill and enjoy the mornings and evenings. We look forward to come back soon!

Overall a beautiful place, villa, and property . I do wish there was a transportation system within the property because it is so huge. Even if it is included in the price of staying. Will definitely recommend & hope to visit again soon.

We loved our stay at Casa Kenkai! The house was in a great location. We have stayed in Hacienda Pinilla before and we would stay here again. Easy access to multiple beaches, great running/biking paths throughout the property, and the Beach Club is always a great way to spend the day. Our kids loved having their own big bedrooms and the pool was enjoyed by all!

Generally the pictures of the property were accurate with what was shown on the website. Spacious home with a wonderful pool! The back of the home overlooking the golf course was quite peaceful. The pool’s filtering system worked but we felt it should be on much longer. The Primary BR was spacious and comfortable. Great closet space and safe to hold valuables. The gated community was extremely safe ALL the places we traveled in Guanacaste Province. The great room and dining area was quite generous. The dining table was large but chairs around the table are worn and in fair condition at best. We needed only used two bedrooms. The primary BR has a comfortable King Bed. The 3 other bedrooms have Queens. I would suggest that at least two bedrooms have Kings. The kitchen was adequate. More eating utensils are needed. The Website showed a kitchen with a Microwave wall unit, it was not there. We had a very small counter top microwave. The house is not new as indicated on the website. Some maintenance needs to be done inside. Nevertheless this DID NOT take away from our terrific stay!! Great location to travel to Tamarindo & many beaches on the Pacific Coast. Golf is available. Wonderful restaurants are within 10-30 minutes. Elsa our concierge was 5 stars plus. Extremely responsive and polite. Made reservations quite reliable and knowledgeable. She was a gift!. Shower door shattered last night of stay and AC in great room dripped as we left, thankfully. We had a great time.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Kenkai! The house manager Dani was super helpful in helping us coordinate excursions, making sure we had groceries delivered to the house prior to our arrival. When we did have any issues he responded quickly. Overall communication was great and the access to the private beach club was wonderful. We would definitely recommend staying here and would do so again when we venture back to Costa Rica.

We had a wonderful 3 week stay at Casa Kenkai in Hacienda Pinilla thanks to Stay in Tamarindo. Elsa and Daniel were incredibly responsive, helpful, and available to help organize all our tours, car rental, booking a chef, and pretty much anything we had a question about. It was a seamless planning process and they even worked with multiple people from our family, coming in at different dates. We had meals prepared by two different chef services, both professional and with delicious meals. My son said he felt like we were living in a castle! The house is spacious, with lots of light coming in from the huge windows and accommodated our group very comfortably. The resort property is lovely, private, safe, and has nice amenities (restaurant, pool, beach, gym) to add to the already wonderful comfortable house with a pool. We hope to be back very very soon!!

The property was perfect and spacious for our group of 6! Elsa made sure we had everything we needed during our stay, she helped with all of our transportation, activities, and restaurant reservations when we went to Tamarindo. We even had a private chef our first night at the property which was amazing and I highly recommend. Hacienda Panilla is tucked away so having transportation secured is important, but overall we felt very safe and would stay here again. Thank you!!!

Casa Kenkai is your best option to go and enjoy Hacienda Pinilla and the North Pacific of Costa Rica. It's just perfect! It is cozy, comfortable, spacious, well equipped and what I liked the most is that they installed new and better furniture! It is our favorite when we visit with my family. We love having breakfast and taking advantage of the outside area. We really like that the social area is integrated but at the same time the rooms have a lot of privacy. Perfect to go with friends or family. What we like the most is the view of the golf course. We see different animals such as deer but simply the green view is fascinating.

My family had a truly wonderful stay at Casa Kenkai. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed including lots of pots, towels and a great espresso machine. There was also a lovely outdoor shower in the main bedroom (in addition to the regular shower). My boys (6 and 9) loved spending time in the beautiful pool (which was cleaned and maintained during our stay), The location was also great-there are so many restaurants to choose from and lovely beaches to visit. Elsa was incredibly helpful and responsive. Before the trip, she helped plan transportation for our arrival. She also recommended activities and made reservations for us based on the best things to do for kids. She suggested restaurants and was super responsive if we had questions. We felt very at home and well-take care of. It was a fantastic trip! We would definitely choose to stay at Casa Kenkai again.

My family spent the last week at casa Kenkai. Its was amazing. We have stayed at Hacienda Pinilla before and as always they are on top it! Elsa our concierge helped us plan out a number of excursions and events. The house was perfect for our family of 5 (each kid got a bedroom- they did rock, scissors, paper, to see who got the one with the solo bathroom). Great open layout to hang out and have dinner. We used the private chef services to make us dinner 4 times. Washer and dryer was convenient. The pool was great. Always warm due to the weather. Honestly nothing was really wrong with the house. Ice maker didn't work perfect but they came and fixed. You could hear the howler monkeys every morning and we saw deer on the course course from the backyard. Tons of birds too. Definitely need a golf cart or car though. We will be back sometime next year.....

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful villa in the Hacienda Pinilla resort. The home was modern, clean with large open spaces and sliding doors opening to a beautiful pool area. Great home to stay in during the pandemic in case members of the party need to isolate; and the large windows and doors allow for ample air movement. All four rooms are private, well sized and comfortable. The pool was wonderful and we all thoroughly enjoyed daily swims. Kitchen is well appointed; generous laundry room. We could hear howler monkeys and beautiful bird song throughout the day. We never felt unsafe ( we were alarmed by some reviews on other VRBO stand-alone properties mentioning night time burglaries, which is why we selected this particular property.) Security is excellent. Tamarindo has wonderful restaurants; we particularly enjoyed Dragonfly and Green Papaya, but the home and kitchen is so lovely that we spent several days just enjoying the home and resort. Car recommended. Buy the local mosquito repellant; according to the experienced local guides, the local repellant is much more effective. Highly recommend! Thanks for the great memories!

What a trip!! Just returned from our 5 days at Casa Kenkai. We had 2 couples here, each in their own en-suite, with enough room to be together and have room to spread out. The house was beautiful, with everything we needed and more. The outdoor pool area with fans kept us cool while we ate meals outside together. The grill was great to have for lunchtime while we hung out in the pool. I can’t speak highly enough about the crew we were lucky to have host us in Costa Rica. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful villa in the Hacienda Los Pinos Pinilla resort. The home was modern, clean with large open spaces and sliding doors opening to a beautiful pool area. Great home to stay in during the pandemic in case members of the party need to isolate; and the large windows and doors allow for ample air movement. All four rooms are private, well sized and comfortable. The pool was wonderful and we all thoroughly enjoyed daily swims. Kitchen is well appointed; generous laundry room. We could hear howler monkeys and beautiful bird song throughout the day. We never felt unsafe ( we were alarmed by some reviews on other VRBO stand-alone properties mentioning night time burglaries, which is why we selected this particular property.) Security is excellent. Tamarindo has wonderful restaurants; we particularly enjoyed Dragonfly and Green Papaya, but the home and kitchen is so lovely that we spent several days just enjoying the home and resort. Car recommended. Buy the local mosquito repellant; according to the experienced local guides, the local repellant is much more effective. Highly recommend! Thanks for the great memories!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Kenkai. The house was beautiful, clean and exactly as described. Kitchen was well appointed, all appliances in good working condition. Internet was fast and reliable. Ample space for two families to have privacy. Cleaner and pool maintenance person were efficient and thorough. Our concierge/guest manager, Elsa Verges, was extremely helpful and available for any questions we had. She provided helpful information on day trips, road hazards etc. We felt safe, and were able to enjoy the larger Hacienda Pinilla resort as well as the surrounding Tamarindo area without any issues. We would highly recommend this home and hope to return soon!

Highly recommend if you love to golf and want to feel safe in a secure restricted resort this is a great stay for it! Check in and out was extremely easy, affordable, access to the jw Marriott that has beach access, at the time of purchase the rep sent a list of activities we can purchase that had pick up service. Only con is the drive to the entrance it’s pretty rough, that’s it. The house was like a resort! It was beautiful, clean, appliances easy to use, spacious! 10/10 highly recommend. Elsa was soooooo helpful, and responsive!

We had an amazing time at Casa Kenkai. Elsa was amazing throughout the booking process and also helped us out a lot before we arrived and while we were in the property. Always very responsive and helped us with many activities and bookings to make the stay great for everyone. The house was located in a large gated community and felt very private and extremely safe. The house looks even better than the photos and it feels new and was very well stocked. We would use Stay in Tamarindo and Elsa and stay in this house again. Pura Vida!

Very comfortable, everything you need is there! You will enjoy the quiet surroundings with the golf course right behind the house so no noisy neighbors! We had a wonderful stay at Casa Kenkai. The House was impecable and so was the service with Stay in Tamarindo. The house is very spacious and the pool is stunning! With direct view to the golf course is the perfect spot to relax at night or when you get tired of the beach. Hacienda Pinilla is my favorite place in Guanacaste, is beautiful, clean, and you can have golf, surf, jugging, trail running, mountain bike and several different beaches just in one plase.
