Great house for a family. The pool is lovely, the house is very clean and welcoming and has separate areas to relax. It is a five minute walk to the beach, restaurants, cafes, shops etc… The beach is beautiful and the waves are perfect for beginner surfers (remember to wear long shorts to avoid chafing from the board).
Cristina, the Airbnb agent, is very attentive and is always available to make sure your stay is perfect

Our group of 10 had a fabulous stay here! Chris was a super helpful and responsive host. The kids loved the pool. The location was amazing in Tamarindo - 5 minutes to the beach but out of the main town area. The only downside is a nightclub nearby that played loud music on the weekends. Close to a few incredible beach restaurants. The surfing out front was ideal.

The house was in a very convenient location. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants. The house was clean and even more cozy than it appears in the pictures. WiFi wasn’t working and they had someone there very quickly to fix it. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay! We stayed with 6 adults and 3 children (2 infants and 1 toddler) and the house was perfect for us. Just as pictured.
Bedrooms are spacious, beds comfortable, and bathrooms large and clean! Blackout blinds would be nice for the kids though!
Living room and kitchen as pictured, AC worked great in main living area as well as bedrooms, which was awesome since it was 40degrees outside!
The pool was amazing, kept clean by the pool guy who came every other day. Lots of pool floaties which was fun.
Location is excellent - we rented surf boards for the week and it was <5 min walk to the waves. Beach was beautiful.
It’s on the far end of town in terms of walking ti restaurants, so 5-15 minutes max to reach any restaurant or bar in town.
Highly recommend!

Great house in wonderful location! We had 8 adults and had plenty of space. Pool was clean and cool, with some shade and some sun. House is walkable to beach and restaurants, golf cart made getting to the other end of shopping and restaurants easy, but it’s all walkable. Cris, our concierge was awesome! Clear and quick communication - very friendly! Highly recommend!

Great property & location. Had an issue with an AC unit and the repair people immediately responded. Had an issue with the Dryer and was not repaired & SB replaced. We were unable to use. Can’t hang cloths to dry outside due to the dust. Kitchen not stocked with basic items to cook, ie condiments, spices, aluminum foil/saran wrap, etc. it would have been too expensive to stock the kitchen, so we didn’t cook. Not what we expected for a two week stay.

Outstanding service from Cris who works with the property company- she was so helpful booking activities and answering our questions. The property was beautiful and having the pool at night and the beach so close during the day was perfect. The house was clean and comfortable. Tamarindo has a small night life that you can hear a few nights a week but we all slept soundly. We loved walking around town (sidewalks are limited at times) and still I would suggest getting a golf cart to grab lunch on a hot day. Of all the vacation houses we’ve tried this one was my favorite. We loved the security, the shaded patio during the day, good AC, and much more. We hope to come back!

Only a block from the beach, this house works well for a family or multiple couples. Super easy check-in. Property manager/concierge was very responsive to inquiries. Close to restaurants, coffee shops and clubs. Nice pool area for cooling off. Easily store surf boards.

Great rental and excellent service! We rented the house for 10 days. The property is beautiful, clean and well maintained, in a quiet neighborhood and only a couple of minutes walk from the beach and everything else you may need. Cristina and Adriana were wonderful in helping us with whatever we needed. I highly recommend staying at Casa Calico!

Great house walking distance from the beach. It was comfortable and spacious with a lot more space for my group of 6. A bit tricky to get to initially as we passed the unpaved road the house was on and headed into town. However, the house is beautiful and came with its own private pool. Chris was so helpful in setting us up with a local excursion and responded quickly to any inquiries . I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Let me start off by saying that I am not a person that writes reviews. This place is worth my time to let you know how great it is.
The staff are AWESOME. Every question I had was answered within minutes. Every request I had was fulfilled, transportation to and from airport, rental golf carts, etc. They handled everything.
The house is amazing. We went with 7 total people (4 adults, 3 kids). Adults stayed in the main house, kids in the pool house. Another couple could have stayed in the main house, we had one king bed empty. It might not look big from the street but wait until you get inside. Pool is great, spent a lot of time in it.
House is walking distance to the beach, maybe 5-7 minutes. We used the golf carts because we travelled with a beer cooler. Restaurants are walkable but much easier on a cart.
We will probably book this same place for next year's vacation. It has everything we could ever ask for. I recommend it 100%.

The location of this home was perfect and the 6 passenger golf cart we rented allowed us to explore the town of Tamarindo. Nous étions 7 filles pour fêter nos 40 ans. Emplacement de choix, maison parfaite pour nous. Les lits étaient super confortables. La cuisine fonctionnelle. Nous avons adoré la proximité de tout à pied et surtout de la plage. Sécuritaire avec un code pour une gate et ensuite la porte patio se barrait. Par contre il y avait une autre porte qui elle ne se barrait pas. Nous les avons avisé.
Pour le reste tout était parfait il y avait tout ce que nous avions besoin. Je le recommande à tous et en plus nous avons accès à un concierge pour réserver des excursions et les transferts avec l’aéroport. Aussi nous avons pu laisser nos bagages la journée du départ car le check out est à 10h am. Nous avions un vol à 17h ce fût bien apprécié.

My family and I had the vacation of a lifetime thanks to all the staff at Stay at Tamarindo. Adriana was excellent! She was available at all times during our stay and was so quick to answer any questions. The lock on our gate was loose and it was fixed within hours of notification! Cris was our concierge and she was fabulous!! She was so efficient and so approachable. She helped us set up transport shuttles, car rental and all our tours. She was available to us before our trip and all the time we were there. The staff was incredible. I would absolutely use Stay at Tamarindo again in my future vacations. She even found a doctor for us when it was needed one day and she was extremely speedy about that! Cris sent us our list of options for activities and excursions months ahead of time so we had plenty of time to think about things. ATVs, massages, catamarans and more. I highly recommend the lazy lizard catamaran which was our highlight! Adriana Who took our reservation will check up on us periodically throughout the process. We had no doubt even before we arrived that everything was going to be smooth and it was very smooth! I highly recommend using “stay in Tamarindo”/Cris and Adriana and I highly recommend Casa calico!!

We were 11 people staying in this Airbnb for 2 weeks and it was amazing. The photos did not do it justice. It was beautiful, spacious, and had everything we needed (AC, laundry/drier, extra sheets, etc.). We were also working remotely during these two weeks and the Wifi had no issues with that many people being on video calls all day. Cris, the concierge, was very helpful throughout our stay, making recommendations and answering any questions we had. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting without hesitation!

This is one of three villas located together and have been perfect for our previous trips for several reasons: it's less than a 5 minute walk to the beach, it's on a quieter end of town, and there's always been a secure area for our rental cars. Our 2 prior trips we stayed at the adjoining villa, but this property was available for our dates, so we didn't hesitate to book, knowing the gem we we're getting. Upon arrival, we were surprised to learn that the gated garage where we had planned to park our cars had been turned into a studio for the owner. We were also surprised that the owner was on the property, living below the detached room. We'd met the owner the year before and he's a lovely gentlemen, but we had assigned teenage boys the detached room for noise control in the main house. Knowing we would have to be mindful of the owner below made us uncomfortable. Also, having to park our cars on the street (after running into a tourist in Monteverde who had just had his car broken into and damaged) was very disappointing and is not disclosed on VRBO, which I pointed out to the property manager within 15 minutes of arrival. While we had to re-adjust our expectations, it didn't prevent us from enjoying the property. It was very clean, had a majority of the cookware we needed for meals, a/c units that were so good we actually turned them off in the main house for the majority of the day, and better wi-fi than we've had in the past. The pool was well maintained and a great refresher after a long day surfing. Given our surprises, I would still return to this property because it's so well-maintained and the location can't be beat!

Casa Calico was an amazing stay for our group! Stay in Tamarindo helped us out with everything, especially Adriana as she was there to help with any issues or problems. The house is gorgeous and has a ton of space for a big group! The location is right up the street from town and is a 5-10 minute walk to the beach which was amazing! It is only 100 meters from the beach and different stores, restaurants and handmade crafts. The hosts were not only friendly but also interested in us having an amazing stay. Will definitely return!

It is only 100 meters from the beach and different stores, restaurants and handmade crafts. The hosts were not only friendly but also interested in us having an amazing stay. Will definitely return!

Comodidad, lujos y excelente atención. La estadía fue increíble, lo acabados, limpieza, y atencion del administrador del lugar fue de lo mejor. La casa esta en excelentes condiciones muy cerca de la playa y de lugares para poder adquirir servicios
