Great Location right across from the main beach in Tamarindo. Easy to walk everywhere from here. The condo was very comfortable. Good AC. Good Beds. Good Kitchen. Balcony. Great views. There is a parking spot available. This place felt very safe and secure. I would go back there again, and I Would recommend it to anyone.

I love the sunrise condos and have been back to stay many times. Unit 4 is a great condo with everything you need. Stay in Tamarindo is a great partner to rent through and help when you need anything. We had an issue with an outside patio door locking and reached out to StayInTamarindo and they came immediately to fix the door. Highly recommend staying.

This condo is the perfect location for a family to stay! The beach is right across the street. The compound is secure 24/7, and well maintained. The pool is huge with a toddler end and a deep end. Inside the condo there is plenty of room for a family to gather. The appliances All were in great working condition. Plenty of pots, pans and dishes if you wish to cook your own meals. Beds are very comfortable. There are plenty of linens and beach towels. The A/C worked wonderfully. The washer and dry were a great bonus. Adriana and her team did a wonderful job of taking care of us. We will definitely stay her again!

Great Condo,
This rental has a beautiful view of the beach and the pool. The A/C works great! Beds were very comfortable. Linens were well stocked and in good condition. BBQ grilled on patio worked well and had plenty of propane. All appliances worked perfectly. Compound has security at front gate. We also saw security walking compound at different times during the day. Compound is well maintained.
Rental is right across the street from the beach. Perfect location!
We saw Howler monkeys 3 differ days in the trees above the playscape, what a bonus!
Adrianna and her team did a great job of taking care of us during our stay.

Right across from the main beach this condo was spacious, well equipped and well managed with excellent communication. My husband, 3 adult children and myself loved everything about and would highly recommend it to anyone interested.

We stayed in Sunrise 4 for a week and it is such a great place. The apartment is so big. It was just my husband and I but it is definitely spacious enough for a family or even 2/3 couples. The balcony is really big with a BBQ that we didnt have a chance to use. It is so central, basically across the street from the beach with supermarkets and restaurants all around. You will literally be on the beach in less than 5 minutes. The view from the balcony is to die for, with amazing sunset views. The whole complex is beautiful and so well maintained. We spent every afternoon in the pool, it is never very busy. The concierges Adriana and Cristina were absolutely amazing, always there to answer any questions I had. We had stayed in a different condo previously in another complex that we loved but we have fallen in love with this complex and would definitely stay here again.

Adriana, Cris & Melanie were all very helpful before and during our visit. The condo was in good shape and very clean. Maintenance team responded within 2-hours on a Saturday to turn the water on (appreciate their prompt response). We had a great time and all services and the condo were excellent.

The condo was clean and comfortable (with a well-working AC, which was very nice). Check in was super easy, even though we got in past midnight because of a missed flight. The location was great, walkable to everywhere in town and right across the street from the beach. We had an amazing time!

This apartment was awesome for so many reasons.
-Very clean- it had all sorts of stuff to clean (extra garbage bags, paper towels, etc.) soaps to wash dishes, antibacterial soap in all bathrooms and kitchen. This last part is a biggie for me, because I've stayed at other apartments (including a few in this same complex) and they didn't have this, I had to buy a few to put in bathrooms. But this rental had these, also shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.
Amenities- I loved that they had little bit of everything, pots, pans, dishes, cups, glasses. it had a few things if you want to bake (I didn't use for sure! No baking while in vacation time!), it had beach towels, we'll stocked for linens. It was very complete. Fridge, Stove, Microwave, dishwasher, these all worked with no issues.
Location- this is the best location ever! this is why I like to stay at Sunrise Condos, you can walk everywhere! The beach and a supermarket are right across the street, with restaurantsand other things within walking distance. If you have a car, like we did, you park it and don't have to use it unless you're going out of the Tamarindo area. This location is optimal!
View from the apartment was amazing! From the balcony you can see the sunset! The main balcony has a table and chairs, if you want to have your meals out there. You can also see the pool, and the main street. Overall, the view was to die for!
The only negative was that the elevator was out of service for 2 days, so for us in our case, bringing up all our groceries was a big difficult, since you have to climb to the last floor. This was a problem with the complex the building, not the rental company. They fixed it 2 days later, and no other issues.
Communication was excellent, they provided all instructions you need for your stay.
If you're unsure whether to rent or not, go for it. We had a blast! We'll definitely stay here again!

This condo certainly has the WOW factor right from the time we exited the elevator on the fourth floor. The ocean view from the balcony outside the front door is incredible; especially at sunset! We were very pleased when we walked in the door about the size of the common space, the bedrooms and the balcony off the livingroom. This unit was so perfect for 3 couples. As well, the close proximity to the beach, restaurants, shops and anything you could possibly need is a real plus. The pool area was our afternoon haven to meet friendly people and cool off. We would definitely love to stay at this complex again!

This was a perfect property for our group of 6. Great location, beautiful condo and lots to do. We spent first 4 days our our trip inland in the rainforest and second 4 days of our trip at Sunrise 4 in Tamarindo. The check in process was so easy and the unit was exactly as described and had great views. Nice pool and quick walk across the street to the beach. Unlimited restaurant options in walking distance and a supermarket right next door. Lots of vendors and shopping on and around the beach. Easy drive to several beaches within about 30 minutes for snorkeling (tamarindo is more of a surfing beach with easy board rentals and great waves). The condo had plenty of towels (including great beach towels) to use. Everything in the condo was up to date and there was a new gas grill on the balcony that we used. Good security in the gated property so you feel very safe. No issues during the day but I recommend at night only going out on groups. I would highly recommend Sunrise 4 to anyone looking for a well maintained condo in a great location in Tamarindo.

We could also watch the sunset from multiple locations in the condo...from the deck, the porch or one of the rooms that has floor to ceiling sliding glass doors and small outside standing areas. The beds were very comfortable and with three rooms, each of my teenage daughters had her own space. The air conditioning kept us cool on the very hot days. Christina from Stay Tamarindo was very helpful answering my questions prior to arrival. She also helped arrange a rental car for our time in Costa Rica. If you’re visiting Tamarindo and want a great place to stay, I would highly recommend Sunrise #4.

Michele, We are happy to hear you loved the condo, the pool, the location and all the condo amenities ;) Regarding our office, we ask our guests to stop by to pick up the condo keys and then drop them off. The office location is at the entrance of town which is very convenient and on the same road of Sunrise condos. It is only a 7 minute walk or 2 minute car ride. Only bummer is it's close proximity to AQUA nightclub. As we were leaving to go to the Airport at 4:30AM people were still partying & the music was pumping. We visited Tamarindo, Costa Rica for the first time and stayed at Sunrise Penthouse #4 from November 5 - 15, 2016. First of all, we want to thank the "Stay in Tamarindo" staff...Cristina, Adriana, Gilda and our driver Johnny...you all Exceeded our Expectations which made our stay worry-free, safe and comfortable!!! The airport transportation was provided in a safe, clean, comfortable vehicle and Johnny was more than happy to tell us about Costa Rica and answer all our questions. He also offered to stop along the way so we could get some groceries to get us through our first day, this was totally unexpected and we were truly grateful. We arrived at the Penthouse suite and were amazed at how clean, comfortable & beautiful everything was...the pictures on the website are accurate and represent the suite well. The views were amazing from both the front and back patio areas. The furniture, beds, linens and everything in the kitchen were of top quality. This was by far the best suite in the complex. We were under the impression that the suite contained a safe to store our passports, cash and valuables but we were unable to locate it. In addition, the wifi was not working very well. As it was a Sunday when were arrived, I waited until Monday to call the office about these items and as it turned out, this suite did not have a safe. You will not believe what happened next...a new safe arrived and was installed as well as a new router for the wifi. We have traveled to many places where the customer service was good at best but this by far Exceeded our Expectations !!! The complex itself is very clean, safe and well maintained with 24 hour security staff, gardening staff and maid service, who are all very friendly. I would highly recommend staying at Sunrise Penthouse #4 as you will be safe, comfortable and well taken care of by a team of Customer Service Professionals. Thank you again for making our trip a great experience.

First of all, we want to thank the "Stay in Tamarindo" staff...Cristina, Adriana, Gilda and our driver Johnny...you all Exceeded our Expectations which made our stay worry-free, safe and comfortable!!! The airport transportation was provided in a safe, clean, comfortable vehicle and Johnny was more than happy to tell us about Costa Rica and answer all our questions. He also offered to stop along the way so we could get some groceries to get us through our first day, this was totally unexpected and we were truly grateful. We arrived at the Penthouse suite and were amazed at how clean, comfortable & beautiful everything was...the pictures on the website are accurate and represent the suite well. The views were amazing from both the front and back patio areas. The furniture, beds, linens and everything in the kitchen were of top quality. This was by far the best suite in the complex. We were under the impression that the suite contained a safe to store our passports, cash and valuables but we were unable to locate it. In addition, the wifi was not working very well. As it was a Sunday when were arrived, I waited until Monday to call the office about these items and as it turned out, this suite did not have a safe. You will not believe what happened next...a new safe arrived and was installed as well as a new router for the wifi. We have traveled to many places where the customer service was "good at best" but this by far, Exceeded our Expectations !!! The complex itself is very clean, safe and well maintained with 24 hour security staff, gardening staff and maid service, who are all very friendly. I would highly recommend staying at Sunrise Penthouse #4 as the location is awesome and you will be safe, comfortable and well taken care of by a team of Customer Service Professionals. Great set-up right across the street from playa Tamarindo. The penthouse condo was huge and had a great view of the beach. It had everything we needed from pots and pans to the movie braveheart on DVD. Guest services was awesome, Gilda even mailed my friend his keys that he left in the room. Thank you so much for making my trip to Costa Rica so memorable!

I am not sure there is anything nicer than either having coffee or a sunset cocktail on the terrace overlooking the beach. Great location. We were there with two teenage boys, who were able to walk down and go surfing whenever they wanted. There are two grocery stores right next to the condo and a better one down the street if you have a car (or a short taxi ride away). We were happy to stay in a few night and cook ourselves after a long day of activities. The boys were happy to have a few selection of movies to watch too. There are places to pick up food nearby if you don't want to cook or eat out. It is a short walk across the street to the beach. We are happy to have a short walk - because it was really hot. It was nice to head back to AC in the middle of the day - but still have the views of the beach. The condo is on the 4th floor - we always used the stairs. There is an elevator but it is slow. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of towels - including beach towels (though it was so hot we never needed them). We noticed beach chairs but never carried them down. We rented chairs and an umbrella for about $10 on the beach. The sun is so strong -it is nice to have some shade. If you are going to spend a lot of time in the water, make sure to invest in really good sunscreen. Either research your activities well or use a concierge (they will build their fee into your trip). There are many choices and the prices seemed to be all over the place. There was wifi - but on the weaker side. Not strong enough for any streaming or sending out any videos. (The boys were trying to share surf videos.) We were able to get our texts and emails and go online - so it was fine for that.

We loved our stay at Sunrise Condos in Tamarindo. This condo was excellent with beautiful views. It was really nice to be able to sit on the balcony and watch the sunset! We loved that it was so close to the beach and within walking distance to great shops and restaurants. The pool was a great place to wind down after a day at the beach or on excursion. The description of the property is spot on, so I don't need to repeat all of those details. The concierge services from Stay in Tamarindo were great! We booked all of our transportation and excursions with them; it was easy and convenient, and we loved working with Cris and Gilda. We thank them very much for making our stay in Tamarindo so enjoyable. We would recommend Sunrise to anyone and we would definitely stay there again.

My wife and two other couples rented the Sunrise Penthouse #4 in Tamarindo for a week in November. It was a phenomenal experience! The town itself is great and the location of the suite couldn’t be situated any better. It’s directly across the street from beach, in walking distance to all shops and restaurants. The views from the front and back of the unit are spectacular. Inside was quite spacious. I love the vaulted ceilings. The condo contained all required amenities. We did go out for dinner quite a bit but definitely took advantage of the full kitchen. All dinnerware, small appliances and pots/pans were in good condition. We also utilized the grill on the balcony a few times. Bedrooms were a good size with very comfortable beds. It was nice having the private pool in the complex as well, providing a quiet place for some down time. Overall the unit and grounds were very clean. I have no doubt we will be back again!

Upon arrival I was very happy with the town of Tamarindo, very beautiful with lots of cool shops and great restaurants. The condo itself was exceptionally clean and offered a great view of the beach just steps away. Everything mentioned in the listing was spot on, and the building and amenities were very well kept with a friendly and helpful staff. When we tired of the beach, the pool area offered a shady retreat from the heat which was great. There were plenty of great restaurants just a walk away from the condo - we only had to take a cab once to the grocery store up the street which was only $6 US dollars there and back - and the surf shop right infront of the condo was the best in town (Ask for Juan). All in all, a great location, great vacation, cant wait to go back!

The condo is well appointed and the beds were super-comfy, not battle-fatigued like alot of the beds you see in rentals... The location was perfect, close to a slew of restaurants, across the street from the beach, and near alot of the surf shops and other tour companies, as well as a car rental office. The street is a bit noisy a few nights of the week, but keeping the fan running on the A/C helped alleviate that. The kitchen had everything we needed, the pool was a very good temperature, and Tamarindo is among the most beautiful beaches that we saw during our stay, and in our past travels. We had a problem with the WiFi upon arrival and the folks at StayInTamarindo did everything to fix it for us. They were professional and pleasant to deal with and i would trust them for future rentals.

Beautiful view from the terrace, lovely pool area, and a very attentive rental agent and staff, led by Bruce Mckillican.Everyone was very responsive to our requests, including the young man who rewired the whole TV-DVD hookup system so we could watch the movies we'd brought.Security was also very good. Right in the middle of the action, but very quiet at night. Apartment is scheduled for repainting and more upgrades in a couple of weeks.

Our three bedroom apartment featured fabulous sunset views and a great location. Very well equipped. And best of all, Bruce and the management team were very responsive and made great guides to Costa Rica.

We just stayed in this glorious place for the 2nd time and we loved it again. Right at Tamarindo Beach and we never needed a car. We were a party of 6 and were very comfortable. We love the pool. We barbecued several times and this wonderful place was affordable. We looked forward to the sunsets on the balcony and terrific views. We never stayed at a better place and the pool is awesome. We just stayed in VRBO #376921 and nobody solicited this response we felt compelled to make it after looking at some of the others. First of all we’re 4 engineers from Wisconsin. We all agree that none of us have ever had a nicer vacation. One of the people in our group had stayed at the Sunrise Condos before. He enjoyed this one more because is was a front row penthouse with killer views of the ocean from every window. You really could not have a better location. The beach, shops, and fantastic restaurants are all within easy walking distance. The manager greeted us on arrival and took us to the condo. We went wow when we walked in and he proceeded to tell us about a lot of places of interest and the best places to dine. He whipped out a map labeling some nice spots to eat, shop, etc. The pool was extremely nice. We would typically go to the pool in the morning before the beach. There were nice showers by the pool to rinse off before heading back up to the condo. We had a lot of fun at the pool. No the furniture was not fancy however we stayed here because of the great location and we found the beds and other furniture comfortable. We had drinks ate, barbeque and lounged around a big patio from our Penthouse that gave us awesome views of the ocean , beach, mountains and whole coastline. We did have our own parking spot but it was not needed. Everything was within walking distance and we had Joel arrange transportation to and from the airport. Joel also arranged a day trip into Arenal to go ziplining, white water rafting, and to see some hot springs. Both worked out really well and the trip to Arenal was probably the highlight. The Costaricans that drove us around were the nicest people you can imagine. They were also very knowledgeable. Ask for Doug. We are planning on coming back to this Penthouse next year. It seems like some of the issues with the place have been worked out. The internet worked well and Joel was good to work with for arranging transportation and day excursions. The price is very reasonable for what you get. I would highly recommend this place for the location and views. Like I said the furniture is not the greatest but you have everything you need in the condo and it is clean. We had four but it will sleep more. 5 star A.D.

Those are kind words. Some adverse reviews have come our way because in one case mistakes were made however there is no better location in Tamarindo for this Penthouse that sleeps 8 and provides memorable reviews from every place in the property. You are a few steps from the best beach in the opinion of many in the country and can walk to everything. The pool is a masterpiece of engineering; large free form with an amazing water falls. It is spacious and comfortable. JH

My wife and I and 5 older children just stayed in this penthouse condo for 7 nights in Costa Rica. It was better than expected. The views were outstanding and the location could not have been better for our family. We could walk to the surf in 4 minutes. The kitchen really is a chefs dream , it has at the utensils you need for any meal, we saved alot of money by cooking in the condo. We had a small problem with one of the toilets but Joel Hookerman had a guy out within an hour to fix it. We give it great reviews and a great price for size , location, style, and views. We will for sure stay there again next year on our visit. Thanks Joel for all your help. Gary and family.

These are very generous unsolicited positive comments. I respectively request that anyone thinking about staying here read all the reviews on this listing. Out of dozens of properties i manage only 2 have ever been less than 5 star and they're both appear at this listing. Let me say this; in both cases i tried to pacify both parties unsuccessfully. I honestly believe that neither review was valid in any way, shape or form. I have dozens of excellent reviews from the many properties I manage that are shown on this site. We go out of are way to try to make a guest feel good about they're stay with us. I check them in personally and tell them my opinion on the best places to dine writing them down and marking the location of each on a map. Our people don't go home at 4 PM. We answer our phones 24/7 and can provide needed service any time it's required.

Our family stayed in this residence for a month and enjoyed every minute of it. We were leery prior to our stay due to the one negative review but found that to be a misrepresentation of both the accommodations and the management. We loved the location and we never grew tired of the views. Absolutely stunning. Being right on the beach was perfect for our active family. We could leave, rent a surf board on the way to the beach and be surfing within minutes. This condo was wonderful to come home to at the end of the day and we saw many gorgeous sunsets right from the balcony. The manager made sure we had our footing in the town and made sure we were comfortable before leaving us on our own. He was always just a phone call away. We would definitely stay here again and will be forever grateful for our Costa Rica adventure!!!

Wait a minute, we have to agree with the owner, we just had the best vacation we’ve had in years and we loved the Penthouse. We see why the owner was ticked off. Incidentally we had them arrange several tours and they were superb. We thought the location couldn’t be better with views from every balcony and window. We walked to everything in a few minutes and we loved the big tile pool right next to the beach with the wonderful waterfalls. The manager spent a lot of time telling us where to go for dining- the places we went to were great like he said. We thought the furniture was just fine and we feel the art was spectacular and in good taste. Our teenage daughter is an artist and she was thumbs up on the paintings. We give it 5 star and we paid a price that was affordable.
