Ibis Condo #9

Lovely and quiet place, we will recommend it to our friends back home. Langosto Beach Club was a great amenity just a few steps away. Rafa took great care of us and Camacho was always so kind! Having a golf cart was super helpful for shopping and dining. We loved hanging out at the beach and just decompressing. Already talking about booking for next year!

Gorgeous Condo, Very Spacious Kitchen, Dining, and Living Areas. Comfortable, Clean, and the Langosta Beach club was a great way to spend time when not on some adventure elsewhere in Guanacaste. IBIS is a great location, certainly walkable to shopping and restaurants, but we opted for the golf cart which made the trips a little farther away like Panga's super easy. Rafa helped us secure Airport Transportation, the Sunset Catamaran Cruise, and the Waterfall Combo, La Leona and Oropendola far exceeded expectations.

The condo was great, from the nice water pressure in the bathrooms, to the great space outside where we all hung out reading books every afternoon. The monkeys and the birds were at eye level and the location can't be beat, a quick walk to restaurants and groceries and right across from the beach. Rafa was amazing, he got back to us very quickly on any request. I highly recommend springing for daily maid service. Rafa also recommended the amazing Patricia who cooked meals for us. On Rafa's recommendation, we contacted Nico who runs the surf school just across the street. He hooked us up with Diego who took us on daily surfing trips to Playa Grande. Really wonderful people all around!!!
(My only complaint was the washing machine and dryer are only 10% functional, multiple issues, which made it hard to do laundry.)

Our family spent a week in Tamarindo. The Ibis Penthouse house location was wonderful with access to the beach and beach club directly across the street. The inside space is spacious and easily accomodate our family of 5. The wrap around deck was also a great space to hang out when not at the beach club or beach. It is right above the road so a little noisly with the cars and buses going by, but we spent most of our time at the beach and beach club. Can't say enough about the beach club. Pool, showers, bathroom, towels, beach rentals, food, bar, etc. Staff was wonderful as well.

Ibis Condos are terrific. We stayed in the penthouse. It was beautiful and had a ton of space for my wife and two daughters. It's just outside of the center of town, which was ideal for us (quieter/more laid back). Renting a golf cart was helpful. The beach club across the street is terrific with cabanas you can reserve, a beautiful pool, great food and drink, fun and responsive staff, easy access to the beach, beautiful exercise space, etc. The concierge Rafa is wonderful and set us up with a number of fun day trips. He's very nice, patient and responsive. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Tamarindo and especially Ibis/Langosta Beach Club. A+.

This is the best location in Tamarindo. Having the Langosta Beach Club membership included makes this vacation a superior experience. The location is within walking distance to Tamarindo's best restaurants. The service provided by the concierge is outstanding and the staff at the Condo and Beach Club are warm and welcoming. We return year after year because the best of Tamarindo can be found at the Ibis!

My family of 5 had a wonderful week staying at the Ibis 9 corner condo, where Rafa had arranged 5 days of exciting excursions. The Ibis 9 3 bedroom condo, with a wrap around balcony was in excellent condition and was impressively furnished. It is just a short walk away the Tamarindo town center, and directly across the street from the Beach Club, which is a tropical paradise. Rafa took care of all arrangements for deep sea fishing, scuba diving, zip line, whitewater rafting, and ATV riding while we were there. Each of these excursions were thrilling and hosted by friendly, knowledgeable staff who ensured our safety as well as a thrilling experience. We 5 each rate this vacation as the best, most fun filled, yet relaxing vacation we’ve ever taken. Our thanks to everyone who helped us have a wonderful stay.

My family of 5 spent 8 days at Ibis 9 condo. From the moment we opened the door se we’re impressed withe the condo furnishings. The pictures accurately showed the interior, and the security persons and concierge were extremely helpful and kind. They provided many helpful suggestions to make the stay pleasant and fun. We purchased excursions for scuba, snorkeling, zip line, whitewater rafting, deep sea fishing, ATV, and inland fishing. All coordinated through the concierge, Rafa. They were all excellent with friendly, helpful, high quality service.

We enjoyed Ibis #9. It was so convenient to the Langosta Beach Club and the beach and to so many shops and restaurants. The condo itself is spacious enough for 6 adults to enjoy without anyone getting in each other's way -- and it's beautifully decorated. We especially liked mornings on the front porch overlooking the main road. We will definitely come again.

This beautiful condo is in an amazing location. The beach club right across the street has beach access, a beautiful pool, bar, food service and fitness center. The lively Tamarindo town center is an easy walk by road or beach. The condo itself is the perfect blend of elegance and comfort - lovely natural stone floors and high ceilings with beautiful wood. There is lots of space to cook and linger over a family meal. I almost didn't want to leave the amazing wrap-around veranda with plunge pool. We felt very safe with the staff on site and they were all very welcoming and helpful. Great place to return to!

We all loved this property and the use of the beach club across the street. The location was perfect, it was within walking distance to town.
The kitchen was fully equipped, the plunge pool was lovely to cool off in, AC worked great, many different TV options in a multitude of different languages. Overall a great place to stay.

This condo was a lovely place for our family to relax in. Our daughter had just broken her ankle before the trip and luckily there was an elevator and the condo was very comfortable and spacious. The adjacent road could be a bit loud, but the beach club is literally across the road with great facilities and service.

We loved our stay at Ibis #9 condo. My son was getting married at a nearby location and our condo was perfect for myself and husband, my father and son and nephew. Very spacious and beautiful. Rafa was so helpful and VERy responsive to all our requests. The beach club across the street is beautiful. I went every morning for Breakfast and Luis was my waiter every morning. I have to say that this stay was one of the best we have experienced. The place was extremely gorgeous. It was very clean and had ample enough of space. They had service men continually patrol property which made us feel so secure especially with our 4 year old son. The beach clubs was a life saver as well. Beautiful pool and beach where my son had the best time. Food and drinks were great as well. It is close to everything while being just a step away from all the crowds. We loved our stay at Ibis Condo #9, and Rafa was very responsive and available to answer any questions throughout our stay.
Part of our family stayed in #10, and it has been updated and just feels cleaner overall. #9 is still great, but it could use some new bedding and other updates. Regardless, the experience was wonderful, and the access to the beach club across the street was super convenient!

By far, the best VRBO we have ever rented from. Rafa was amazing with communication on the check in and out process and all of the activities close by. And I can not say enough about the security team and the club staff. We had a flat tire that would not come off of the hub. And they all worked on it until they got it off and the tire switched out. Rafa coordinated and helped plan the stay for 8 people. The rooms are clean and spacious. The common area and porches are comfortable and inviting. Comacho greeted us upon arrival. The Ibis #9 condo was absolutely fantastic! From the first moment we walked into the door we were impressed and delighted. There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out, a lovely kitchen stocked with plenty of utensils for cooking and wonderful balconies that we enjoyed sitting on. Access to the beach club made it all perfect. We were able to walk to the beach in just minutes and spend our days surfing and enjoying the sun. The walk into town was also very easy and we did it multiple times. This place is wonderful and you will absolutely love it!

I can’t imagine a better way to stay in Tamarindo. Quiet part of town, short walk down the street or the beach to dozens of restaurants, stores. We had a car for other reasons but never needed it in town. The Beach Club was well run, beautiful and perfectly situated on Playa Langosta. The condo was well appointed, stunning and offered plenty of space for our two teens. You can’t go wrong with this booking.

This is a great location, great condo, super clean, and everything ran exactly as I would have hoped. I have ZERO complaints - which is saying a lot (for me). Thanks Rafa for coordinating and making sure everything was ready for us. We even had a house call for our covid test before leaving. The entire stay was perfect. We cannot say enough great things about our time at Ibis penthouse condo in Tamarindo. From the moment we arrived, Rafa, was there waiting to greet us with a warm, welcoming smile. Our condo was absolutely beautiful with plenty of room for the six of us. The wrap around balcony was divine! It felt like we were in a tree house with all the wonderful trees around the complex. We even saw monkeys swinging from the trees! Rafa also knows where all the great spots are and was always so helpful to make reservations. Our time in Tamarindo was perfect!!! We didn’t want to leave!

This penthouse was perfect for our family of five. Huge living/dining areas and spacious bedrooms, baths, and patios. Access to the Langosta Beach Club was a bonus - we spent much of our time there and it's right across the street. Can't imagine anyplace better for a stay in Tamarindo! Rafa was also a gracious and helpful host. Highly recommend this place!

Can’t wait to come back.
Rafa was there to greet us and did an excellent job answering all of our questions. Millie at the club took great care of us providing beach towels, reserving cabanas and helping coordinate surf lessons.
It is in a great location, close to restaurants and far enough to keep the experience more quite and almost private on the beach.
In regards to service, I do want to underline that Dina, Cesar, Luis, and all the other servers at the club gave us the best service we have ever had. They all knew our names and memorized our favorite way of having our food. In general, the club felt family friendly and fun. We loved the food, the drinks and the music (which was at the perfect volume; some rüfüs du sol, some country, some classic pop). The food and drinks (good variety of brands and excel et cocktails) were delicious, especially all the fresh fish (local sea bass and tuna).
At the beach, kids 10 and 13 enjoyed on their own the easy waves the majority of the day and harder waves at the end of the day.
The space of the penthouse, is bigger than it looks on the pictures. It also provides a lot of privacy between the rooms. Each room has its own en suite bathroom.
The fully equipped kitchen, with extra vegetable sink, includes a lot of details like soap for the dishes, salt and pepper, cooking oil, sponges, soap for the dishwasher, beautiful non-stick cooking pans and pots, sparking clean grill and extra sink out side.
The jacuzzi on the balcony is a nice touch to cool down at the end of the day. It does not have the ability to be warmed up though.
The location, quality of the staff, quality of the house and the food make the place amazing. Now for luxury you can even book massages, yoga, and workout at the gym on top of all.

Our stay in this place in Tamarindo was perfect. It was a beautiful, very spacious living area. The patio was beautiful. The beds were comfortable. It was better than anticipated. They had security watching the property. They were friendly and helpful. The beach club was fun and relaxing. We loved the food and atmosphere at langosta beach resort located directly across the street. A must is find the ladies giving massages on the beach. They were amazing. They are not apart of the resort but next to it. They were the best we have had! Bring your own Apple TV!

Our stay at the Ibis #9 was great! Far enough away from the noise of the downtown area but close enough to walk. The Langosta Beach Club right across the street was perfect for drinks, swimming and watching sunsets at the end of our day. Most importantly, Rafa and Juan were awesome helping us with any request.

This place was incredible. Access to the Langosta Beach Club - in between the main beach and Langosta beach. 5 to 10 minute walk through town to Central Ave. Less than 5 minutes to the beach through the Beach Club.
Rafa and JuanRo were quick to respond. And the place was clean and a great space for our stay.

I will preface this review by saying that we were not sold on going to Costa Rica at first. We were traveling with 3 kids 8,9, and 11 and weren't certain if it was the best place to go with 3 young kids. We went through over 1 thousand reviews and finally decided on this condo in Tamarindo over a resort in the Panilla region. We made the right decision and had a fantastic time. I wanted to write this review trying to provide information the information that we looked for going through reviews for a family vacation. We just returned from one week at Costa Rica. We stayed in Ibis 9. We had a wonderful experience from the start. Melissa arranged airport transfer from Liberia airport. Catalina was waiting for us and was a gracious host. We stopped by a very nice supremacado on the way to the condo for groceries. A small version of a nice US grocery store with everything you need. We met our concierge Rafa once we arrived at Ibis. He took care of anything we needed instantaneously. As good a concierge as anyone you would meet at a nice hotel in the states. We got help with our luggage. The condo was on the top floor. Very spacious, clean, and nice furniture. Fixtures, and appliances all extremely nice. We quickly went out to the beach through the Langosta Beach Club. There is a great pool there and lounge chairs. Free cabanas that you can reserve through the concierge who was Giro while we were there. The beach club has food and great drinks. It is a bit pricey. Similar to US resort prices. But a great set up and worth the cost. Also plenty of lounge chairs on the beach. Beautiful sand and great waves. You can rent boogy boards or get surf lessons right in front of the beach club. I would highly encourage you to rent a golf cart. We rented one for the week through pure vida luxury rentals. It was ready for us when we got there. It makes it very easy to travel all through town and visit the different beaches. We used it every day to go out and get breakfast or go to dinner. If there is one restaurant you should try it is Pangas right on the beach with best food in town. We set up 3 tours through the concierge and were very happy. We got private guides for each trip and were guided through each activity without any wait or downtime. Very similar to guided tours through us parks. Victor and Sebastian (and Irbin tour driver) were our guides. They are truly expert guides and made our experience exeptional. I highly recommend this property and company.

We enjoyed our time in Ibis 9. The layout and pictures of the place were exactly as described. Rafe and Stefano were helpful and knowledgable of the area and made the excursions workout seamless. The walk into town is not far but the golf cart was a must for us to get around in for dinners and groceries. We had 4 kids and 2 adults. Costa Rica is beautiful and the beach was amazing.

We spent our spring break week at Ibis #9. There were 4 adults and 4 children in our group. We absolutely loved it! It was spacious, comfortable and convenient. Everyone was so helpful! We arranged for airport transportation through Stefano (about an hour drive from Liberia) and the driver let us stop for groceries on our way to the condo. Once we arrived, Camacho carried all our luggage up to the condo. Everything we needed was available in the condo. I did bring a small bottle of laundry detergent, which allowed us to bring fewer clothes, wash as we needed, and return home with clean clothes! Bring shampoo, conditioner and sunscreen (very expensive locally). The unit is exactly as pictured in the photos. The main room and kitchen are plenty big and it never felt crowded, even with 8 of us. The 'cold-pool' out on the deck was very refreshing and fun for the kids. We spent a lot of evening time relaxing on the front deck, which had plenty of deck furniture. The wifi worked great, which made my 16-year old happy. Any time we wanted to plan an excursion, or needed directions, the front desk staff was incredibly helpful. They planned everything for us and would tell us exactly where to go. We did the sunset cruise (amazing), learned to surf, toured the estuary and did some fishing. The front desk lined up all of our transportation. The Beach Club across the street was perfect. It's an easy walk to the pool or the beach. The restaurant on site served great lunch and the staff there was also very friendly and helpful. My kids were stung by jellyfish, which is apparently pretty rare (and wasn't very painful), but the Beach Club staff immediately tended to them, bringing vinegar to sooth the sting. The beach out front of the Beach Club is beautiful, quiet and great for swimming in the ocean. The condo is the perfect distance from town. It's an easy walk, and there are great restaurants and shops in Tamarindo. We spent many evenings walking to town to find a good dinner restaurant, and then walking back to the quiet of our condo. We slept great in the condo, with the exception of one morning when the holler monkeys out back were quite active. It was fun to hear them though. There were plenty of extra blankets and towels available in the unit. I would highly recommend this rental and look forward to our next visit to Costa Rica!

Ibis #9 was a wonderful place to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday at and Bob’s entire team was extremely helpful during the booking process and through our entire stay. Our group of five adults loved staying in the spacious condo and we truly enjoyed having such a beautiful place to call home during our one week trip. After reserving the condo we received a welcome email with general information and a long list of various tours to choose from. Stefano answered all of my group’s questions and we booked three tours plus airport transportation. Upon arrival, our driver picked us up and took us to the grocery store for the essentials and then over to the condo. We were greeted by Robert, who gave us an overview of the area, their services and the property. Ibis #9 is every bit as beautiful as the photos online and has an extremely warm feeling with the combination of the wood, granite and tile throughout. The balcony is definitely a highlight and we spent many evenings there reminiscing about the day’s events. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essential cookware and the appliances are adequate. The wireless internet and satellite/cable TV worked very well and the stereo system with ceiling speakers in each room was a nice plus. Any of the small issues we had were immediately addressed by the maintenance staff who also keep the building very clean and the groundskeeper maintains a well-manicured property. Membership to the beach club across the street is the perfect complement for the property giving you all the amenities you could find in a resort with a very personable staff willing to accommodate all requests. All in all, the property was perfect for what we wanted: spacious, luxurious, close to town but far enough away and with access to the beach right across the street. The staff was very helpful in both planning and arranging additional tours while we were there and a trip highlight was having Chef Frank cook an amazing dinner for us in the condo on my wife’s birthday. We all look forward to coming back. Costa Rica is an amazing place to visit and staying at the Ibis #9 only enhances the Pura Vida experience.

the place is awesome, bedrooms have plenty of room. we had a total of 5 girls sharing the place and it worked out great. The patio was nice to sit out on in the morning or when we came back. The house is in a perfect spot, you have a little walk to 'downtown' but its a fun walk. Theres a grocery store near and beach is right across the street. we did run into an issue with the AC unit for the rooms but management was pretty quick to get the issue resolved. Again its an awesome rental and would recommend it!! (PS there is an elevator available if youre unable to make the climb up the stairs)

We decided last year to look at Costa Rica because we had heard what a beautiful place it is. We narrowed our decision to the Tamarindo area and we were lucky enough to land the IBIS #9 condo. It was a perfect fit for us, 3 separate bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The family area was a wonderful place for us to relax and to play games. The condo is right across the street from the Clubhouse and we were able to go anywhere we wanted without having to have a car. This was a fantastic vacation and was made perfect by Stefano and the crew taking care of our every need. I would highly recommend this condo to those looking for the ultimate get-away.

My friends and I went on vacation together and we found this condo on HomeAway and absolutely loved it! What you see in the pictures is what you get - it is so gorgeous and roomy. The bedrooms are large and each one has its own bathroom plus theres a half bath off of the kitchen. The main balcony is where we were most of the time when we were in the condo. The master bedroom and the 2nd bedroom each have a balcony and in the morning we'd drink coffee looking out over the trees. You can hear the monkeys every morning!! The staff at the condo are very helpful. We used them to book tours, get us cabs, and to find out information about happenings and places to go in town. The beach club across the street is fabulous!! The infinity pool is gorgeous, the cabanas are a wonderful place to relax and read and maybe have a cocktail or two, the beach area is beautiful and the view is gorgeous. The service is wonderful and the food is too! Can't say enough great things about our stay! If we go back, we will definitely stay here and we recommend to everyone!

We decided to visit Tamarindo for our birthdays with friends and having never been there before and researching many properties, decided to try the Penthouse. All of us in our group were absolutely amazed! The photos didn't do it any justice. We were met by Bob and Stefano when we arrived and we were shown to the penthouse. The penthouse has three full bedrooms with their own en suite bathroom and they are in the back of the penthouse so you don't hear any noise from the road in front. There is also a guest bathroom in the kitchen/living area and a full utility room with washer/drier. The living area has couches, loveseat and sitting chairs, flat screen TV, stereo, DVD and surround speakers. The doors to the deck open and slide to completely open the living room to the outside. The deck overlooks the road in front and has plenty of room, couches, dining table w/chairs, Gas BBQ grill and the Jacuzzi. The Jacuzzi is refreshing but, as listed, is not heated. There is no pool on property but the rental gives you access to the Langosta Beach Club across the street, which has a pool, cabanas, gym, restaurant and bar, access to the beach and the service is awesome! Stefano is available to help you set up any tours you might want to take at the front entry area. We also had Chef Frank from Belly Fed Better cook for our birthday dinner and that was an adventure on it's own and we highly recommend giving them a try. It's also a short walk to the main area where the local market is located, as well as bars and restaurants. I can't say enough for how great our experience was and we look forward to staying there again in the future.

I truly don't know where to begin. The condo was amazing!! The location was close enough to town and just far enough away to get away from the hustle and bustle of town. The Langosta Beach Club was awesome, great service. When you think you might need a drink the staff was already asking if you were ready for the next one. We also saw Howler monkeys in the tree tops right at the beach club. If there is a must To Do it is hiring Chef Frank from Belly Fed Better. His food is amazing, he has great knowledge of the area and we had an absolutely great time watching him prepare our meal and chatting with him for the evening. It was by far the best food we had the entire trip!! The concierge Stefano was fantastic. From taking us shopping at the market to grab snacks for the week to setting up tours. There wasn't anything that we asked for that he couldn't make happen!! So for that we THANK YOU Stefano. The rest of the staff was helpful and friendly as well. The grounds crew and the security that was there 24 hours a day was great. Felt very safe not only at the property but in town as well. The only thing is like most places, there were Narco's trying to sell you drugs in town mostly right out in front of Sharky's everytime you walked bye. But they never harassed you when you said No they left you alone The only thing I can say bad about the place is the elevator didn't work. It wasn't a problem for us at all but could be difficult for older people or anyone with a disability. When we head back to Costa Rica there wont be any other place to stay but at the IBIS condo's.

This was a great experience, from the first email from Bob Wilson, property manager, who explained the location of the Ibis complex and a description of the 3-bedroom penthouse condo. It was exactly as he described and more. The condo’s wrap around deck is furnished with couches, lounge chairs and table for 8…like an extra condo added on to the spacious great room. Each bedroom has an in suite bathroom and the kitchen is a gourmet delight. The building is totally secure and sits across the street from the Langosta Beach Club. The Beach Club was great! Beautiful, quiet beach and pool area, nice staff, great food! Being given access to the Club with the rental of this condo is another reason to stay here. You don’t need to rent a car. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the town of Tamarindo, where you’ll find a number of great restaurants and shops. Bob Wilson, property manager, Sebastian, concierge and the wonderful staff helped us with too many requests to count. We give the condo five stars and the exceptional staff and service a 10 + Adding up the reasons to stay at the Ibis…#1 beautiful home #2 great location, #3 private beach club access and #4 outstanding service! We would definitely stay here again and recommend to our friends, family and anyone reading this review! Thank you for a delightful stay and we look forward to returning next year! This condo met all our needs and more. The unit was very clean, organized, and well decorated. Each bedroom has its own bathroom plus an extra half bath which is a bonus. We liked to eat breakfast home and the kitchen had all the essentials for cooking. The wrap-around porch was amazing with a great table and seats for plenty of lounging. The staff at Ibis could not have been more helpful. From setting up the rental to airport transportation and excursion planning, everyone was wonderful. There is always someone at the front gate which is great and he even called taxis for us when it was raining. The cleaning staff was professional and did a great job, as well as the staff at the front desk who helped us plan tours and even took us to the grocery store one afternoon! When the weather was nice, we choose to walk the quick 7 minutes into town. Ibis is such a great location. You are literally across the street from the beach and a quick walk into town. The beach club across the street (access is included with the rental) was also amazing. We took a work out class there one morning and used the beach facilities almost everyday. One afternoon it was raining so we watched one of the football games at the tiki bar there and had a great time. This condo is beautiful, has a ton of amenities, best location, and I would highly recommend it! It is definitely my first choice when staying in Tamarindo!

Ibis was a great location for us and Sebastian and JuanRo were a huge help in answering questions and organizing activities as requseted. The unit was very clean and spacious with a great porch for additional outside seating. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom and one of the bedrooms can be set up with a king size bed or made into two twins. If you stay here, I highly recommend bringing in Chef Derek for the private gourmet chef for dinner one evening! We really liked the location of this property in that it was right across the street from the beach and walking distance (via the beach or the road) to the center of town. The only downsides were that the road to the property is very, very rough and that traffic tends to get going on that road pretty early in the morning.

The concierge and property management team take care of your every need including taking you to the grocery store! The beach club, located across the street and included with your stay, is amazing! We had so much fun! Our penthouse condo was absolutely amazing. Great service even before we landed in Costa Rica. Quick email responses and phone calls. Juan, Sebastian and Bob were so helpful in setting up shuttle service to and from the airport and anywhere we wanted to go while we were there. The activities and packages they suggested were exactly what we wanted and a great price. We were a group of 6, and things always get delayed but they were very patient and accommodating. Our stay in Costa Rica was something our entire family will never forget. From the time we arrived, Bob and Sebastian were available to answer questions, take us to the shopping center, and schedule trips. We walked into town on many occasions (by the beach and the road). Sebastian arranged our trip to and from the airport and to our zip-line destination. All transportation was right on time and we were always comforable with our arrangements. We were there for a destination wedding so we spend alot of time close to the penthouse and on the beach. The penthouse was great to come back to because it was roomy, clean, and air-conditioned. We did some cooking there but also enjoyed the local restaurants-- which were also recommended by Sebastian. I must say that I had never thought about Costa Rica as a vacation spot, but after this trip, I'd highly recommend it and the Ibis Penthouse. It was exactly as shown in the pictures. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Having traveled extensively with friends and family always using vacation rentals, I have to say this was the perfect 10. It was exactly as listed, the rental process was easy and seamless and Bob was always very responsive to any questions and inquiries. Sebastian, who was on site was also very helpful in offering great restaurant and tour selections. The beach club was the perfect place to relax and have a great lunch or dinner. It definitely was in walking distance (from the beach or road) to restaurants and shops in Tamarindo. You won't go wrong with this vacation rental. They came in and cleaned once during our stay and our car was washed every day (nice touches). If our travels take us back to Costa Rica in the future we will certainly stay here again.

We rented the top floor penthouse in June 2014 for 6 adults. The property was very clean and well kept. The concierge was on property and available for trips to the grocery or to advise on dining and excursion options. Bob and Sebastian were both very attentive on any needs that we had. There were monkeys in the trees right outside our door. In fact one evening there were 15 in the tree off our balcony no more than 10 feet from the railing. The beach is across the street. Our deposit was returned very timely without issue. I would recommend Pura Vida and for anyone looking for a rental in Tamarindo.

We absolutely loved everything about this penthouse. Beautifully decorated, very clean, excellent staff and location can't be beat. If you're coming to Costa Rica to surf and enjoy all this beautiful country has to offer, then this is the place to stay. Very convenient to other places to explore if you want, but Tamarindo has a lot to offer. Concierge desk for penthouse can also advise of best tours. We followed all their recommendations for deep sea fishing, sunset catamaran tours and restaurants and every one of them was perfect! We hope to come back one day and definitely would stay here again.

This condo was truly a 10!!! It was the perfect location with just an 8 minute walk to all the shops and restaurants of Tamarindo and a few steps across the road to the Beach Club with its beautiful white sand beach, great Happy Hour, amazing pool and cabanas to relax in when we had too much sun. The condo staff, from Bob to Michelle at the front desk, to the grounds crew and the gate keepers were friendly and helpful throughout our 10 day stay. The condo itself was beautiful, with a well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds and enough space for 6 of us to enjoy without getting in each other's way. We especially enjoyed the wrap around veranda for early morning coffee and late night card playing. We would recommend this condo to anyone without hesitation!

Hey Bob we had a great time in Costa Rica. I want to thank you for hooking us up with Karla! She is the sweetest person and because of her help we were able to see everything we wanted. She also hooked us up with a guide (Oliver) to do some zip-lining and the volcano. I recommend him to your other guest, he was great. We also had a small trip to Haucas and did a small tour of our tour guides (Ivan’s) ranch. We drank fresh coffee and ate fresh corn tortillas with cheese. His family was terrific!. We went on horseback through the jungle to “Shell Beach”. We then did some snorkeling (which my wife has never done before) and it was great. Thanks again and we can’t wait to come back soon.

We rented this penthouse for a month and when we walked in the door - we were more than surprised that the pictures do not even do it justice! We are global travelers and I am careful to research and review. What I love is the detail and cleanliness of the unit as well as the care of the staff. We felt completely safe and secure and all our needs were met promptly by either Karla ( the concierge) or Bob, the manager. The unit was equipped down to the last detail and was spotless. It was great to have both of them onsite. Karla took us to the grocery store the first day and helped organize our family week with 4 adult children who joined us for 10 days. The security guards were pleasant and helpful with carrying in from the car or calling us a cab. Across the street was the other gem! The Langosta Beach Club made the trip. The staff, food, service, infinity pool, view, cabanas, location…nothing was wrong with this package! My husband and I were in the ocean every day just after breakfast. We would eat breakfast poolside or come down later for drinks and the most fantastic sunsets. Getting to town was a nice stroll down the road or what we preferred was the beach walk to restaurants, shops, nightlife… This location is so hard to appreciate unless you really know Tamarindo. Away form the hustle and bustle but close enough to be a part of Tamarindo or Langosta. Would we stay there again? Yes, but we may not leave!

Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. The Penthouse was extremely clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped. The beds were comfortable with nice linens. It was perfect for our family of 6. The Penthouse belongs to the Langosta Beach Club, conveniently right across the street. We used the pool and had some drinks. At the end of our stay, we settled our tab at the club house. Although there were a few items on the bill that we did not have, the manager promptly removed them and apologized. The Penthouse was about a 7 minute walk into town. We walked to town for dinner or lunch and sometimes took a cab back ($6). When the tide was low, we could walk along the beach to town which was wonderful. The beach is across the street from the Penthouse. It was perfect. The beach is beautiful and great for looking for shells. We also had access to boogy boards which the kids loved. Karla, at the front desk, was amazing. She immediately took us to the grocery store upon arrival. This was very helpful. Karla also did a fantastic job directing us to the best tours. She coordinated everything and even negotiated some rates for us! Thank you. Overall, Bob and Karla made us feel welcome and really strived to make us happy and comfortable. We felt like the penthouse was luxurious and the location could not have been better. I would highly recommend this property!

We were pleasantly surprised when we entered the unit as the pictures do not adequately portray the well-appointed penthouse. Travertine and granite abound as well as teak everywhere including the extremely tall ceilings -- 3,000 square feet of room to roam for just the two of us. The onsite property manager is extremely accommodating and made suggestions for restaurants and activities which all turned out to be very, very good. He actually made all the arrangements for us even taking us to the grocery store and on a tour of the area the day we arrived. The day trip he arranged for us to Arenal volcano was nothing short of awesome, and the zip lining tour could not have been better. One of the reasons we selected this unit in Ibis was that it included use of the Langosta Beach Club just across the street. We were able to reserve a cabana each day, have drinks and snacks delivered to us beach (amazing white sand and surf) and poolside (infinity style facing the beach), and enjoy several excellent dinners (one of the best restaurants in Tamarindo/Langosta). Ibis lies on the north end of Langosta just a short walk to the town of Tamarindo which is extremely laid back loaded with great food, bars, beaches, etc. If our travels take us back to Costa Rica we would definitely try to stay here again. In fact, we are talking about a family 2014 Christmas trip here given the very pleasant time we had.

We were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this penthouse is. The photos gave us an idea what it was like, but it's so much better when you see it in person. It was immaculate when we arrived and very nicely decorated, including some special touches which provided a warm welcome to us. Bob greeted us, gave us a tour of the penthouse, and answered any questions we had. He was very helpful in suggesting some activities for us to do. The Beach Club which was directly across the street had a really nice pool with cabanas and a poolside restaurant/bar. They had special music on different nights, which we totally enjoyed. We were able to walk to other restaurants and shops with no problem. We liked a restaurant called Kiheki, which was just up the road. They had great breakfast burritos, which were big enough for two people, unless you were super hungry. They also had a lot of other good meals to choose. There was nothing we didn't like there. Our daughter and her friend did an ATV tour and had a lot of fun. Our nephew and his wife joined us on a river cruise at a former sugar cane plantation. We had a great lunch there and enjoyed getting a little tour of the grounds. If you go there, be sure to visit Palomo, a special animal. We stayed four nights in Arenal, the volcano area, prior to going to Tamarindo. While we were there, we visited the Hanging Bridges of Arenal, shopped in La Fortuna, went to Sky Trek (only our daughter and nephew did the zipline), and Tabacon Hot Springs (twice). Our time in Tamarindo was mostly for relaxation and going to the beach. We had a great time and highly recommend this penthouse. There is a guard at the gate who is very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in this unit in mid-July for several days. It was very nice, clean, and matched the description on VRBO. Being right across from the Beach Club was a perfect way to enjoy the beach and a pool. The unit was amazing Bob who is the property manager is great to deal with on the rental. Additionally he was a great help on ideas/reservations for several activities, dining suggestions, etc., but it never felt like he was selling us something. We looked around at other units while on our trip and definitely would chose this unit again for future trips. Have fun if you go!

I will admit that staying in a condo without any other travelers reviews concerned me slightly...but what my friends and I found when we walked into this condo was beyond what we could have ever expected. Veronica and Bob pay attention to every tiny detail in this complex...from flower petals and swan towels arranged in our bedrooms/bathrooms to having our very dusty and dirty car cleaned while we were out to dinner. The pool, overlooking a gorgeous beach, was quiet/relaxing. The waitstaff in the pool area was friendly and provided incredible service (and yummy drinks). My favorite part of staying in the condo was being able to wake up, walk outside and see 15+ howler monkeys and their very tiny babies swinging from the trees outside. Although my friends and I looked forward to visiting local bars in Tamarindo, this condo was actually so nice that my friends and I spent more time relaxing (and napping) on the porch with drinks than we did out at the local bars. Thank you Bob and Veronica for being fabulous hosts and letting us stay in this beautiful condo! Can't wait to visit again.
