As a multi-time returning guest, my experience was once again exceptional. The spacious indoor layout provided a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The highlight, as always, was the jacuzzi – a perfect way to unwind. The consistent quality and attention to detail from Rafa and the staff make this condo my go-to retreat. Beautiful Condo. I cannot say enough about this place. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We rented a golf cart to get us around town and was able to park it in a secure location. The langosta beach club across the street was also very Nice.

Great experience at Ibis #10! Traveled with my husband, our daughters (ages 9 & 4) and my parents (65 & 67). The condo was perfect for our group. Beautifully decorated, well equipped and spotless. The beach club across the street is on a quiet part of the beach and close to tide pools my kids loved. The staff there was great and the drinks and food were excellent. Plenty of beach and pool chairs available. We had a golf cart but we were also close enough to walk to town in 5-7 minutes (there is a path). I walked to get coffee every morning and it was a perfect.
Rafa was so helpful and always responded quickly. He set up transfers and tours for our stay and took a lot of the stress out of planning. The security staff was also lovely and we felt very welcomed and safe our entire stay. Highly recommend!

Our stay in Tamarindo was fantastic, and a lot of that was due to the lovely condo and the warm people of Tamarindo, including Rafa. He was very attentive to any needs and questions we had, and provided great recommendations for eating, sightseeing, and getting around town. Thank you Rafa! Regarding the condo, it is just as the pictures show, except even more spacious and roomy. Our family of four had plenty of room to spread out. The condo is super clean, the appliances are new, and the kitchen has enough glasses, plates, utensils, etc. to host a large group. Having a washer and dryer right in the unit was so, so convenient. Finally, the location: walking distance to the busy town center, but far enough away to get away from the hustle and bustle. Right across the street is the Langosta Beach Club with all the amenities we needed: yummy food and drinks, a clean pool, plenty of tables to dine on the beach, and guest services to set up daily adventures. What a wonderful stay!

Awesome place to stay! Enjoyed all the amenities of the Airbnb including the Barack club access. Unit was great and felt very luxurious. Rafa and the host team were helpful and communicated great to be sure we had the best stay possible. We even saw a few monkeys in the trees from the back balcony! 5 star experience and highly recommend

The place is beautiful. We felt very much at home and relaxed. Loved the Beach Club across the street giving access to the beach. They were very kind. Rafa was easy to get ahold of when we needed something or had some questions. I would definitely stay there again and would refer this location to everyone.
We loved loved the monkeys in the trees on the morning we happen to catch them. It was awesome to watch them.

Highly recommend staying at Ibis Condo. Everything in the condo was clean, beautiful and straightforward (except for how to turn off the AC). We went to the Langosta Beach Club every day which was an excellent spot - friendly service, fluffy towels, great massages, and a terrific happy hour! The beach is huge and family friendly. We traveled with my 81 year old father in law and he appreciated the gentle surf and huge beach for long walks. It was a quick walk into town for restaurants and shopping. Everything was so close by we didn't need to rent a car or golf cart. Thanks to Rafa for really helping make this a perfect vacation. We will be back!

Rating ***** is excellent for the people like Rafa, Camacho, Alexander, Olman who make our stay wonderful. They are special people and our friends. They are the reason we keep coming back. We may try Ibis 9 next time because the beds in 10 do not accommodate 3 couples comfortably. The bunk room is very uncomfortable. The two twins that used to be there were much better.

Beautiful renovated and newly furnished three-bedroom, four bath condo in ideal location with a membership at the Langosta Beach club across the street. Access to this club is key as it is on one of the nicest beaches in the area with resort services. Spacious living area with spacious terraces. New stone kitchen. There are no negatives with this condo. We had a problem with one of the two central air-conditioning units that serviced the bedrooms. The managing agent was very responsive and sent people over in the evening to fix. They did improve it but it was still not working optimally at the time that we left as we were not able to get the bedroom temperature below 74°. Since along with the condo renovation these units were recently replaced I assume they will correct the problem in the near future. Located just beyond the busy area of Tamarindo it is quiet yet convenient to all the of the town. We had rented a golf cart for our stay but you can easily get by without. No need for alarm clock as the howler monkeys in the preserve the building abuts in the back may awaken you. Highly recommend

Beautiful clean newly furnished condo with new stone kitchen. Access to the Langosta Beach club across the street is key to having a nice swimmable beach with resort service for your Tamarindo vacation. Many beaches in this area are rocky and not swimmable. Linens are very good quality and also seem fairly new. There are two A/C zones with separate central units. The bedrooms zone was not working as well as the other living area zone. Rafa was very responsive in have his maintenance crew come by even in the evening to try to correct. Building is close enough to town so car or cart not necessary, but nice to have.

We had an amazing 9 days staying in Ibis 10! Rafa and the staff were excellent and so helpful. The unit is very spacious and comfortable - recently remodeled & beautiful. We cooked-in about half the nights - kitchen is well equipped including cooking oil and other supplies. The grill on the deck is brand new and works well. Bathrooms were set with plenty of toilet paper, hand & body soap. The unit is across the road from the Langosta Beach Club where we spent much of our vacation, outside of two days of excursions - the staff at Langosta Beach Club is incredible as well, we loved seeing and talking with them each day. Ibis 10 is centrally located between Playa Langosta and the town of Temarindo. Beaches were so good. Highly recommend Playa Langosta for good surf, Tamarindo is good as well depending on the day/winds. There is so much to do. We walked everywhere, no need for a golf cart (though it may be convenient to have from time to time). We'll be back for sure!! Thank you!!

My family and I stayed in late Feb. 2022 and really enjoyed Ibis#10. The fridge broke the morning of our check-in date and the issue was remedied soon after we arrived at the condo. The team was very easy to work with and answered our questions all during the week. My kids loved being across the street from the Langosta beach club. Plan to stay again in March 2023!

This was our first time in Costa Rica and tamarindo. Let’s start with the condo, it is 100 percent what the listing states. Inside was just gorgeous, we are a family of 6 (4 teens) we had plenty of room! The grounds men are just wonderful and are very appreciative of speaking with you/ helping out. We gave them tips and the smiles showed appreciation. The beach club, great vibe, rent a cabana (they are free for 1/2 day, either mornings or afternoons). Beach, we were there in July and not crowded at all..perfection. Water temp was around 82 degrees. We booked Rosanna to cook for us on the last night..homemade ceviche/guacamole/steak/ fish all of delicious. If we had another day we would have booked breakfast as well! Location, about 5-10 minute walk to town (yes, very safe). Simply said Pura Vida!

The Condo is beautiful with an excellent location. Everything worked well and our stay was great. The beach club is fantastic and right across the street. Only drawback is noise from the road but it really cant be heard in the condo, just from the patio. Overall this is a great value condo.

This was a wonderful property in a terrific location in Tamarindo. Away from the busy part of town, but close enough to walk anywhere we needed to go. Being right across the street from the Beach Club was perfect for our kids who could safely go back and forth.

Everything about this place was terrific. The location was fantastic, far enough out of town to be quiet and close enough to be able to walk to town anytime you feel like it. We rented the golf cart which was fast and easy - very convenient to have. The beach club was great. Rafa made a few suggestions for us regarding activities to go on and they both were a riot! The condo itself is top notch, it's huge, well appointed, clean and the views off of the back bedroom patios were exquisite. If I have to make any comment it would be to bring earplugs for sleeping in later than 4:30-5:00am. There are howler monkeys in the tree right behind the unit (which is very cool but also a bit noisy just before sunrise). The birds are also quite active right before sunrise. Overall the people who work there, the communication from reserving the condo to paying for the excursions, the accommodations themselves - all outstanding. If you are thinking about staying somewhere else, don't! You will not be sorry.

The penthouse is beautiful and well appointed.
The Langosta beach club is a great retreat and place to just chill and relax. It is just on the edge of Tamarindo so you can easily walk to the restaurants and bars and the night market, but you are not in the middle of the crazy tourist town that Tamarindo has sadly become.
The condo has nice furnishings ( though the top bunk is a bit rickety-so one person, a teenager, had to sleep on the couch) and the beds are comfortable.
The only drawbacks are:
The air conditioning never got below 77 in the bedrooms or 76 in the living areas, making it difficult to sleep. It was 94 outside, but it still should get at least to 75.
The hot tub, which is advertised as a hot tub, is only working as a private plunge pool at ambient temp ( 90+ degrees). So it is not refreshing or soothing.
Other than that, the kitchen and laundry are fabulous. The condo is lovely.

Great location to have the beach club right across the street - we used the gym and pool everyday and rented surfboards on the beach. Walk into town was 5 minutes and fun to see the shopping- . Raphael was there waiting to show us around ans gave us great suggestions on the turtles, restaurants, etc. He was so helpful! Would definitely come back. Fit our family of six just great! We had everything we needed for cooking one night at home. Laundry is a plus to!

This Penthouse has the perfect location and lots of space! The wrap around balcony with hot tub is the perfect touch when you’ve had a long day of exploring and need to unwind. Rafa was awesome at responding to our requests quickly. I would definitely book this penthouse again:)

The three bedroom Ibis Condo is wonderful. Very spacious and private with all amenities (gas grill, whirlpool, washer/dryer, indoor & outdoor areas to dine and relax). Security is very friendly and attentive. Parking is very convenient & secure. Access to the Beach Club across the street is great. Rafa met us at check-in and stayed in contact throughout our stay. He arranged our activities, including the Catamaran Sailing excursion. Super fun. His dinner recommendations were spot on. The location was perfect. Far enough away from the main drag for quiet nights, but still close enough to walk to and feel safe. It is hard to image better family accommodations in Tamarindo.

This place is just about perfect! Very large and stylish penthouse with multiple balconies with doors that slide fully open, bringing the outside in. The location is near the heart of Tamarindo, and maybe a 1 minute walk to the beach. But you also get club access to the nearby beach club which was fantastic. They have a large infinity pool, bar restaurant, outstanding servers, beach access, and talking parrots to boot. Definitely where we'll stay again the next time we visit Tamarindo. The splash pool (really a hot tub without a heater) was a tad cold since it doesn't get direct sun, but was still nice to soak in after a long hot tub. Friendly security as well, and Rafa was a fantastic host!

Overall everything was perfect. We did not have a car and never felt like we needed one. The tub on the patio is not heated. Not a big deal but don’t assume it is a hot tub

We came back to the Ibis for the sixth time to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We loved the updates to Condo #10 made since our previous visit. It was great to have the extra space to share with another couple who came to celebrate with us. The condo was immaculate and everything was in working order. We cannot say enough good things about Rafa, the concierge, Camacho, and Juan, who helped make sure our reservation was as we expected. And having access to the Langosta Beach Club was an added bonus. Our only suggestion for improvement would be to sweep the outside stairwells and entrances to improve the external appearance of the properties. All in all, it was a great anniversary visit!!

My partner and I traveled to Costa Rica for the first time with 2 other friends. After having our first Airbnb reservation cancelled about 2 weeks prior to our arrival, we found this condo. We reached out to a local Re/Max realtor to ask how legit everything was and she assured us it was. Absolutely it was! We had full access to the Lagosta Beach Club across the street, the condo unit was exactly as advertised and everyone with the property management company was professional and courteous. Walking into the center of Tamarindo is very simple and quick. The only issue is that there is a stretch of road that is still gravel and dirt so you have to walk through the dusty air as cars and trucks pass you. It's a little annoying when you spend a day at the Club or beach, shower for the evening, and walk through the dusty road for evening activities and back, then you feel like you need to shower again before getting into bed. But that's not something the condo people can fix. The concierge people were helpful in booking tours and helping with random other things. Unfortunately, the tours were not so great, but we discussed those issues with the tour operators directly. All in all, this is a great condo in a very convenient location.

My partner and I traveled to Costa Rica for the first time with 2 other friends. After having our first Airbnb reservation cancelled about 2 weeks prior to our arrival, we found this condo. We reached out to a local Re/Max realtor to ask how legit everything was and she assured us it was. Absolutely it was! We had full access to the Lagosta Beach Club across the street, the condo unit was exactly as advertised and everyone with the property management company was professional and courteous. Walking into the center of Tamarindo is very simple and quick. The only issue is that there is a stretch of road that is still gravel and dirt so you have to walk through the dusty air as cars and trucks pass you. It's a little annoying when you spend a day at the Club or beach, shower for the evening, and walk through the dusty road for evening activities and back, then you feel like you need to shower again before getting into bed. But that's not something the condo people can fix. The concierge people were helpful in booking tours and helping with random other things. Unfortunately, the tours were not so great, but we discussed those issues with the tour operators directly. All in all, this is a great condo in a very convenient location.

We spent a week at Ibis on the Beach in penthouse #10 on the top floor. The condo was beautiful inside. The a/c worked great in both the main room and in the bedrooms. The large outdoor patio looking towards the beach (although you can't see the beach) was lovely but can be a little noisy with traffic. We loved sitting on the balconies overlooking the nature preserve in back. Across the street is the Langosta Beach Club which is included with the condo so very convenient. It has a restaurant, bar, pool, chairs on beach, and towels. Beach is very nice. Condo is only a 10 min walk to town where you'll find shops, restaurants, and small supermarkets. No need for a car. We took a shuttle from LIR airport (1 hr drive) thru 506 Transfers (family owned..awesome people). No need for taxi. Condo location is perfect...away from all the chaos but within a short walk of town. We booked a number of excusions thru Stefano. Used 506 Transfers for awesome trip to Arenal to zipline, hot springs and La Fortuna waterfall. 506 Transfers also took us to Tenorio Adventures where we went white water rafting which was a blast. Can't say enough good things about 506...Sebastian and Guido! We took a kayak trip on estuary in Tamarindo which was fun. Another highlight was hiring Chef Frank with BellyFedBetter who came to the condo and cooked dinner one night. Highly recommend him! Food was delicious!! We had hired the chicas to cook a traditional meal the night we arrived but unfortunately they never showed up. We also booked surf lessons for the five of us. The lessons were a lot of fun. Unfortunately, only one of two instructors showed up. All that being said, we would do it all again. The trips were easy to set up through Stefano, and he answered all of my many questions. Our stay was a nice mix of excursions and time on the beach. Our favorite restaurants: Seasons (cash only) and Dragonfly Bar and Grill. Will want reservations for both. Heard Panga's was also very good but didn't make it there (need reservations). Had good pizza at Pizzeria La Baula. Surf Shack is a great spot for lunch. Volcano Brewing had great beer. Good breakfast spots: La Bodega, Cafe Tico, and Nogui's. Heard Nordico Coffee House was good too but never made it. Most restaurants and supermarkets took credit cards but smaller places only took cash. Every place took dollars. All of our excursions were cash only. Bottom line: Highly recommend this condo! The penthouse FAR exceeded our expectations! The photos online must be a bit dated because all of the furniture was different from what was shown - for the better in my opinion with a more modern feel. It truly felt like home away versus a vacation rental. It came fully stocked with quality pots/pans/serving dishes for all of your entertainment and daily living needs. This rental comes with access to a gorgeous beach club literally right across the street so it was nice to run up whenever we needed something without losing precious beach time. It also had wi-fi so we could keep our phones on airplane mode and still receive and send text messages when connected without occurring additional charges. It was located on the edge of town so just a quick 5 minute walk up the beach to dinner every night. Tamarindo is a very casual town where you can "come as you are" to nearly any store or restaurant. We felt safe and relaxed at all times! We were glad we decided not to rent a car as you really don't need one at all. A cab ride is only $4 if you needed it to carry groceries back or were going to venture further out for dinner. Gil and his son Sabastian were our drivers to and from the airport and on our Adrenaline Day Excursion. They were WONDERFUL! They greeted us with beer and water for the 1.5 hour drive to the condo and even made a stop at the grocery store so we could pick up a few things for the week. Sabastian spoke great English so he accompanied us into the grocery store helping us make recommendations and pay with the correct currency. He shared lots of knowledge with us about the culture and island every time we rode with them. When Gill picked us up to take us back to the airport he even remembered to bring us sugar cane to sample as we had been talking about wanting to try it. I think they are the designated drivers for this property but I would make sure to request them again should we return just in case! Overall our week in Costa Rica was amazing and we would definitely stay here again next time - it's hard to top!

Our family rented this unit and my sister-in-law's family rented the other unit. We wanted to be close to each other but each have our own space. It was perfect. Unit 9 and 10 are almost identical and they are both on the 3rd level right next to each other. The staff were awesome and they were so helpful with planning everything from drivers to activities. We did zip-lining, quad tours, river tours, and rented a golf cart for exploring. We also hired the local ladies to cook for us for breakfast and Chef Frank for dinners. I recommend hiring them to cook for you. It was awesome. These units were great because you have access to a pool/club right across the street and also have beach access as well. The bartender at the club was outstanding and totally took care of us. We would do activities in the morning and then play at the pool/beach in the afternoon. I highly recommend the pura vida cocktail. Yum. Also, the beach is VERY kid friendly with hermit crabs, sand dollars and warm water. Make sure you visit the beach during low tide because it's truly magical. Our kids loved this vacation.

We recently stayed here with my sister and brother in law and my parent-in-laws, who were celebrating their 70th birthdays. Honestly, the whole experience was fantastic. We are pretty seasoned "homeaway-ers", having stayed in properties all over the US and Europe, and I have to say, this was way up there in terms of the quality of the property, the professionalism of the staff and the amenities. The house is extremely well stocked (crate and barrel / williams sonoma, etc.) and has nearly everything you need including a decent blender if you like to make smoothies or margaritas! The beds are pretty comfy (pillows are a little wonky), but the bonus of having a bathroom en suite in each bedroom makes traveling with a group so much more comfortable, not to mention the beautiful balcony's two of the bedrooms have - perfect for enjoying your morning coffee and looking at the sunrise over the preserve behind the property. Access to the beach club across the street was included and it was key to our experience - we reserved a cabana for at least half of the day, each day we were there and it was perfect for us to be able to sit by the pool, yet be on the beach and just relax... The walk into town on the beach is 5-7 minutes and if you take the road it's about 10 minutes. There is an excellent farmers market just down the way on Saturdays (highly recommend) and a surprisingly well stocked grocery store that the property staff will drive you to for a nominal fee (alternatively, we rented bikes from them for $10 a day that had baskets and just rode down and shopped, it was less than 3 miles). I would caution anyone that is used to "resort-town food" that this area offers more standard fare. Most of our experiences with "nicer" restaurants were pretty average, but Season's by Shlomy was the most standout... We absolutely loved the area - the people are insanely friendly, including the staff at the condo, who were absolutely LOVELY. Totally recommend this property if you are considering the area - with the inclusion of the huge balcony that has a private hot tub, the beach club and the perfect proximity to the beach and town, I'd be hard pressed to imagine a better choice.

Everyone is super friendly and helpful. This condo was equipped with everything we needed and it was all high quality. Couldn't. Have asked for a better place to stay. Cannot wait to go back.

The pictures of the condo are very accurate. It is just as nice (or nicer) than what the photos show. Right across the street from the beach club. The staff there is great and friendly. Bob was helpful and even took us to the grocery store. Stefano arranged some great excursions for us. I would definitely stay there again. The only recommendation I would have is to provide a full sized trash can with trash bags, dishwasher detergent, and some kind of cleaner to wipe down the counters. With 8 of us staying there and cooking a lot, we didn't have much to help us keep the place clean. Wonderful place, though. Recommended by all 8 of us!

We stayed with two families at the penthouse and could not have been more pleased. The onsite staff was amazing. We had 5 children who were greeted by Camacho every morning with a high five. We needed roll-away beds and a babysitter and the staff made all of that easy to get and organize. The actual condo was top notch. The rooms were big, the bathrooms were all high end, and the patio was huge. The photos do justice to the condo itself --- all the descriptions are accurate. Across the street, the beach club was incredible as well. We had a cabana every day and the staff at the beach club were awesome too. We could cook at the rental or eat at the beach club so the convenience made the vacation easy. When it comes to Tamarindo, we were surprised the grocery store was soo expensive so eating out cost about the same as shopping at the grocery store. We have traveled quite a bit with our children and have agreed this stay was one of the best we've ever had. We are hoping to be able to come back again!

We can not say enough about the wonderful stay we had at IBIS. Stephano and Juan worked non stop to make sure we had everything we needed. We changed our trips at the last minute, and it was never a problem. The beach club was great. We even utilized the spa and workout classes which were really challenging. We were totally "WOWED" by the penthouse with it's views, access to the beach, the most fabulous French Restaurant, the staff, and Tamorindo itself. We spent 10 glorious days experiencing the ambiance of this destination. Walking the beach into the main part of town takes about 5 minutes with the great ocean, surfers, boats etc. to attract you. The condo was so convenient to everything and offers many sightseeing adventures too. We never felt we needed a car. Monkeys were in the trees outside our balcony and many birds to watch from our patio. We'd recommend the River Cruise (Mangrove & Estuary Tour) plus we did the Pinilla Canopy Tour. Very Fun! We can recommend the restaurant highly as well - the food was top notch!! Loved our trip and would love to come back as it was more than we expected!! Kay and Dave S.

Just got back from a 2 week vacation in this 3 bedroom penthouse. Bob was great to work with and so are the concierges. Had a great time exploring the area. You don't need a car but we rented one the last 2 days to do some sightseeing on our own. They have wonderful tours that pick you up right from the condo. They have so many to choose from its hard to decide. The only thing is its not cheap so be prepared for spending some money. Food is expensive and so are the restaurants. The best part about this condo is the beach club across the street. This is where we spent most of our time. There are free boogie boards and surf boards for rent. This is a huge plus. Many tourist come to spend the day at the beach club because its so nice to have a restaurant , the pool with the beach all right there. The people who work at the beach club are so nice and helpful. Nickalaus will teach you to surf if you don't know how they also have paddlboarding and kayaks for rent. I already miss happy hour on the beach watching the sunset.

The beach club is across the street and a short walk into town, no need for a car. We all had a wonderful time surfing, fishing and zip lining. I would highly recommend the traditional meal prepared in the condo, they prepare so much food we had enough to enjoy for lunch.

This small condo complex (I think 10 units total) has only three floors. The top level houses the two largest units which are called penthouses. We stayed in one in January 2014, and this year we stayed in the other. The three bedrooms are large, each has its own full bathroom, and there is a half bath in the common area. There is plenty of open living space, with decks galore. Although we don't do much cooking, everything you need is there, including a large gas grill. If you find something is wrong (ex. not working properly) when you get to the condo, or if something happens while you are there, let Bob know right away. (He is the property manager and lives on the first floor.) As mentioned in another review, he is extremely responsive if needed for anything. Cleaning service is good. Understandably, it is difficult for them to move all the bedding through the washer and dryer quickly when they do mid-week cleaning, but they are efficient as possible. Mopping and dusting is thorough. Regarding inquiries, Bob responds very quickly, and answers any questions you may have. Finally, the location is fantastic if you plan on lazing on the beach and walking into town or in the other direction to dine or see what another beach has to offer. Unless you plan on venturing out further, a car is not needed. But remember you can arrange activities through the concierge downstairs. It is a great service, and Sebastian is extremely helpful in arranging day trips, dinner reservations, whatever! Pick up at condo is available with many excursions. And the beach... Langosta Beach Club is just a walk across the road. There are chairs and lounges at the pool and on the beach. The beach is clean and not crowded, and the water is warm and clear most of the time.(Warm, windy days may shake up the water a little). And the beach bar is a nice place to gather for a couple of drinks or for happy hour. If and when we make a third trip back to Tamarindo, we will definitely be staying with Bob and his crew!

The condo is exactly as described. Beautiful teak ceilings. Bathrooms are completely modernized, above expectations. Langosta Beach Club across the street is a plus. Very close to town, especially Kahiki restaurant which is, in my opinion, the best restaurant in Tamarindo. 24 Hour security was nice, although we were never worried. The manager, Bob, is very responsive if you ever need anything. Sebastian, the concierge, is very nice and helpful as well. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting Tamarindo.

We found this to be a wonderful facility for our group of adults. In addition to a wonderful facility we have strong memories of warm and outstanding hospitality of the staff that warmly welcomed and cared for us. They gave us tips on what to do and made reservations for us and in doing so made us feel that we were special and that they wanted the very best for us. The facility was inviting, spacious and provided a setting for relaxation and community building among our group. The location was good and we enjoyed the beach club across the street that was connected with the condo and here we also experienced some of the best hospitality possible. Please put this attractive, up-to-date Condo at the top of your list for your next vacation! It is located in a beautiful setting. We particularly liked the tranquil nature scenery complete with birds, from our back deck, and the close proximity of the lovely and large Pacific Ocean beach. Or have fun in the many choice restaurants and shops nearby. We particularly liked the spacious and open feeling of the large sitting room complete with full kitchen service, as well as the spacious balconies. We appreciated the helpful service for finding our way locally with most any dreamed leisure exploration or adventure! Have fun!

This condo, experience and staff far exceeded our expectations! The penthouse was perfect for our group's celebration. Along with the well equipped, spacious, condo came an attentive staff, willing to help us with all details of our week. From nighttime turtle hikes, to zip-lines, successful fishing, estuary tours, local town carnival with bull riding and dancing, our group (age over 60) did it all. What a delightful town with a true Costa Rican experience. The beach club across the street was an added benefit for lunch, lounging, dipping in the pool, etc. The chef at the club even prepared the mahi-mahi we caught fishing for a perfect final sunset dinner on the beach for our group. We found this condo to truly be a home away from home and plan to return with our children and grandchildren.

It was such a pleasant surprise that this penthouse condo was just as pictured. It is spacious and well equipped. We cooked several meals there and we found everything we needed. The location is great with just a quick walk into town and we felt safe, even when walking home in the evening. Having access to the Beach Club across the street was perfect. We spent nearly every day there, enjoying the beach and the pool and the food and drink! Bob and Juan were very, very helpful. Juan even took us grocery shopping and took our son surfing! I would highly recommend staying here if your trip to Costa Rica includes Tamarindo.

We recently visited Tamarindo with our 4 children. Bob was very helpful, answering my many questions prior to traveling. They set up our transportation to and from the airport and two tours for us. I can't say enough good about the concierges, Juan and Sebastian. Juan took us to the grocery store upon our arrival and was more than happy to assist with anything that we needed during our visit. The penthouse condo was lovely! It was very spacious and perfect for the 6 of us. It is very well equipped! We cooked many meals at the condo and found everything that we needed. The air conditioning in the bedrooms could have been better, but the main part of the condo stayed cool. The front of the condo faces a dirt road that can be a bit noisy at times. Even though it's the rainy season, there had been no rain for weeks and the the road stirred up a lot of dust that did cover the porch and filter through into the condo, making the floors a little dusty feeling. The bedrooms look out to the preserve, which is beautiful and very quiet. We even had the pleasure of seeing a howler monkey play in the tree just a few feet from the balcony. The kids were thrilled!! I would definitely recommend the penthouse for the view!! The hot tub in our unit had no heat, but the jets did work. We did two tours, the Mega Combo, which was lots of fun for everyone. My only disappointment was that the hot springs that they took us to were not natural, like we thought they were going to be. We also did the snorkeling and kayaking tour, which takes you to a beautiful area, but I would not recommend for smaller children, as they cannot gear up for snorkeling in the kayak, while in middle of ocean. We would have been better off just renting them at the beach club. The Beach Club was great! Beautiful, quiet beach and pool area, nice staff, great food! Being given access to the Club with the rental of this condo is definitely a huge plus! You don't need to rent a car, but if we come back we would, especially with the kids. I think we would have done a lot more if we had our own car. We felt very safe in the area and the security at the condo was great. Also, the water was safe to drink! The condo has a very good filtration system. This was a big relief to me, as I was a little worried about that before arriving:)! Overall, our trip was great; penthouse was wonderful and would definitely visit again in the future! Thanks so much to all the staff at the Ibis!

We, my husband, 3 teenagers, and me, arrived here after 3 nights in an Arenal hotel. It was great to have so much space. The condo is huge. The amenities and décor are top notch. The pictures are 100% accurate. Bob took us to the grocery right away and showed us all the good places to eat along the way. We had monkeys right outside our bedroom balconies one evening. The kids loved it! It is right across from the nicest beach area. We spent a portion of every day at the Langosta Beach Club. The owners and staff are very nice. We felt very safe letting our teenagers go to the beach and Beach Club alone. We really liked walking down the beach for dinner at sunset. There is so much to see. Our favorite restaurant was TTiki at The Beach Club. It was outstanding.

Our stay at Ibis 10 was a wonderful experience. From the top-notch condo to the convenient beach club and easy access to the beach, we loved every aspect of our stay. My husband and I have been to Tamarindo before and specifically chose this condo because of the amenities including the beach club and stellar location between Tamarindo Beach and Langosta Beach - easy walking distance to town and surf breaks, and just a few steps to the best beach for kids. We brought our 1 year old and traveled with two other couples, one of which had a 7 month old. This property was unbelievably great for our little ones. The open concept and layout of the condo are very helpful when you are trying to prepare a meal and keep an eye on the kids. In addition, having access to the beach club was one of the highlights of our trip, since we used the pool everyday and enjoyed the wonderful service from the bar/restaurant. Our son enjoyed the howler monkeys right outside our bedroom balcony, which has a beautiful view of the Tamarindo Preserve. The icing on the cake for us was the wonderful service Bob, the property manager, provided. From the very first email, he was extremely prompt and helpful in answering my slew of questions. He arranged transportation for us to and from the airport and was easily accessible during our entire stay. We will definitely be back!

We recently stayed in the Ibis penthouse for a 2 week family vacation. We loved the penthouse, it was just perfect for our extended family. The staff on the property grounds and Bob and Veronica were excellent hosts and very helpful. Bob recommended the best tours, restaurants and activities and we were very pleased with each...reasonable prices and family oriented. Also, Bob scheduled the airport shuttles which were reliable and reasonably priced. Bob took us to the supermarket a few times, which we really appreciated since we did not have a rental car. We just loved the Langosta Beach Club and spent most of our time there when we weren't doing some activity. It's very casual and relaxing, but also elegant...way above the other beach clubs in the area. And the food was some of the best I've ever had. My favorites were the champagne filet of sole and the filet mignon with portabello sauce. The food leans towards French cuisine, but they also have outstanding burgers and fries. The staff is a mix of French ex-pats and local Costa Ricans and we found them very warm and accomodating. All in all, a great vacation for us and we highly recommend the Ibis condos, and especially Bob and Veronica.

We came in for a destination wedding for the last week of the rainy season/first week of the summer season. We luckily had fabulous weather. This condo was absolutely perfect for 3 couples. The nature reserve behind the condo is breathtaking and you can hear howler monkeys regularly. The condo is across the street from the Langosta Beach club, which was so easy to access and use all of their services: the pool, cabanas, bar, restaurant, beach front area, lounge chairs, fitness room, etc as a part of staying at the Ibis. Our friend's was wedding right there on the beach and the people at the Langosta Beach Club worked with the wedding planner to make it perfect. The condo itself was gorgeous, the housekeeping and bellmen were very responsive to our needs (including keeping an eye on our rental car), and Bob went far above and beyond to ensure we had a fabulous experience. He took us grocery shopping the first day, booked all of our tours with reputable companies, gave us good restaurant recommendations, and helped with the last minute details of the wedding (including securing our wedding officiant with 48 hours notice!). He had great knowledge about who we should use for a in-home personal chef (Bathsheba) one night and for the wedding planner (Martina). We found the concierge and the other staff at the Langosta Beach Club (Maggie and Olivier) to be welcoming and eager to make this a trip of a lifetime. This condo itself is beautiful and comfortable, but what made it truly worthwhile is the access to the Langosta Beach Club and everything that Bob provided to us throughout the week. The road is bumpy in front of the condo, but as we found out that is part of being in Costa Rica. It was easy to walk to town either via the road or the beach. It was truly a phenomenal location and experience, and in no small part due to the people who helped make it happen during the week. In order to help others with setting expectations when booking this condo, we do have a few things that should be mentioned. We did have some plumbing issues with one of the showers, but Bob got a plumber there within a couple of hours to fix it. The street can be a bit noisy in front of the condo when trucks roll down the road. Our shuttle driver from the Liberia airport wasn't aware of the Ibis condos location (there are no addresses to give), but luckily we could direct him to the Langosta Beach Club and easily find it across the street. Located directly across from the Langosta Beach Club, we received incredibly warm and friendly service during our days by the pool, lounging in the cabana and on the beach by the staff members, as well as high quality food for both lunch and dinner. We enjoyed waking up each morning to the sounds of birds and monkeys along with the sunrise overlooking the the Conservancy behind the condo. The fitness club and daily yoga classes were an added benefit. Less than a ten minute walk (by road or beach) from the town of Tamarindo and many great restaurants, the location was ideal! The condo was spacious with all the amenities you could want, very clean and managers Bob and Veronica made sure all our needs were met. We highly enjoyed the catamaran excursion as well as our all-day adventure to the Rincon de la Vieja Nat'l Park where we zip-lined, enjoyed volcanic mud baths and hot springs, horseback riding and the exhilarating water slide! Suggested restaurants include Cala Luna, Nibanna and of course, the Langosta Beach Club. Make sure you get your fair share of live music and fish/shrimp tacos! Kahiki also has a great breakfast burrito and is right down the road. We highly recommend the Penthouse at the Beach Club for your next vacation.... you will not be disappointed!

This was our first trip to Costa Rica. We traveled with our 3 children and my parents. The condo was much more than we expected. The condo was incredible, as we walked up, monkeys swung from the trees above. The penthouse was incredibly clean and comfortable, state of the art kitchen and surround sound. In addition to that, we had Bob! He was unbelievable. He arranged for our transportation, helped us grocery shop and hit the liquor store. He checked in on us to make sure everyone was well and had everything they needed. In addition, he directed us to some of the best restaurants and excursions. When our children needed boogie boards, he hooked us up with those as well. We can not express how much we appreciated all that Bob did for us. He definitely was a big factor in how wonderful our vacation turned out. The condo is perfectly located...not too close but close enough to walk into town. The beach was beautiful and the beach club was full service. We will definitely be returning to Tamarindo, renting the penthouse again and will be booking our trip with Bob. You will not be disappointed.

This was an excellent penthouse condo. The views & privacy very nice. Incrediblely appointed with very nice details. Very large and spacious with 4 bathrooms. Beach Club has great food, pool very nice & peaceful, cabanas free & beach perfect for all ages. Perfect location on the beach. We loved this place & did not want to leave!!

My husband and I vacationed in Tamarindo in January for 7 days with 2 other couples. This condo was the perfect place for all of us. It was definitely better than any of the hotels in the area (which seemed to be more like motel quality) and had all the amenities we could ask for. It was very clean, modern, and best of all - had central AC! Each couple had their own bedroom/bathroom, but we had the huge kitchen and living room to gather and cook meals and play games. It was the perfect mix of privacy and a gathering place for friends. Bob (the property manager) took us to the grocery store (which is USA quality and style) and we were able to cook breakfast and lunch at the condo, which helped save a little money. The kitchen was fully equipped with every cooking utensil we could think of and it's nicer than my kitchen at home! The condo is located very close to town (a 5 minute walk) - I would recommend walking along the beach to get to town instead of using the road (it is very dusty and they paved it while we were there so our flip flops were ruined). There was no need for a rental car. The Langosta Beach Club was great to have access to and everyone that works there is nice as well. We didn't feel the need to explore any of the other beaches because we had such great amenities at the beach club. The food is a little pricey, but that's what made having the condo/kitchen great. The best part of the condo had to be the howler monkeys that hung out right outside the balcony! We saw them twice there and we were so close that we could have touched them. Very cool to experience. I would say the only downside is that the hot tub didn't work (it was cold water). It didn't matter for us though because it was hot enough outside! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an alternative to a hotel. You can't beat the price and it was MUCH nicer than anything we saw there.

My family and I stayed here to celebrate my birthday. There were 6 of us and the condo was perfect. The pictures barely do it justice. The appliances and finishes are top of the line. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. There is nothing like looking out your bedroom window and seeing the lush estuary. We slept w/our curtains open each night to enjoy the lightening shows. ;-) The living space is perfect and the outside living space is HUGE. We grilled a few nights which was great. Only when you saw the monkeys outside the window did you realize "Oh wait I'm in Costa Rica". It was the best of both worlds. It was a 2 minute walk to the closest restaurant and a 7 minute walk to town. The beach is right across the street!!! Bob and Veronica made our stay so easy. Veronica took us to the grocery store the first night so we could stock up. Bob made all of our outing arrangements. We never worried about anything. Everything Bob arranged was fantastic. We will for sure return to Costa Rica and will rent the same condo. Bob and Veronica thank you for helping us to have an fantastic stay in Tamarindo!

After researching many locations to take a vacation, we decided on Costa Rica. My wife and I, along with 3 other friends, were looking for a great, unique, relaxing location near the warm waters of the Pacific, in a small town to provide us with the best local Costa Rica vibe. The small town of Tamarindo and this penthouse was perfect. It is incredibly spacious and the pictures do not do it justice. With the rental of this unit, you have access to the Langoste Beach Club which has a nice gym area, beautiful negative edge pool, cabanas, food and drinks, plus beautiful ocean views with the beach just 20 feet from the pool's edge. If you want relaxing, it doesn't get any better than this. What makes this even better is Bob, the property manager. He and his staff were absolutely wonderful. We provided Bob with a short food and drink list since our flight arrived late into Costa Rica and everything was in our penthouse when we arrived. Bob is the ultimate concierge. We arranged a great ziplining tour and catamaran tour through Bob. Best part - he took care of the expense side of the arrangement and we just had to pay him once at the very end of our stay. We would highly recommend this area of Costa Rica, this penthouse and Bob and his staff. You do not need to rent a car - everything is local and walking distance. Bob can arrange for your transportation from the airport. If you want a few local recommendations - here you go: Bar1 Sushi was very good - try the spicy tuna, our favorite. The Sushi Club - extremely good, great options. My favorite sushi ever! The Tahiki Bar and Restaurant - great breakfast and dinner - closest possible restaurant to the Penthouse - just a 5 minute walk. Matos Surf Shop - rented surfboards here for only $8 - great service and shop. Blue Dolphin Sailing Tour on the Catamaran Pura vida!

Other than some bug-bites that caused an allergic reaction on my wife's arms and legs....we had a wonderful time. The condo was clean, large and very convenient. We grilled on the deck, went to many of the local restaurants-the beach club across the street was wonderful. The only issue was had was the "spa"; out party was psyched for a hot tub but reality is a cold-tub. Ambient temperatures are such that locals don't install heaters in their hot tub. Too bad, our group would have preferred heat-funny as that may seem so near the equator.

We have two sons, ages 11 & 12. After visiting Arenal and ziplining/white water rafting, we stayed at the Ibis penthouse for 5 nights. It was the perfect place for our family to relax and enjoy the beaches in Tamarindo area. We cannot say enough nice things about this beautiful home! The decorations are lovely...knocked out kitchen with spacious dining area. Wonderful decks to be outdoors and bird/monkey watch. Bob Wilson/Pura Vida Property Mgt. were so awesome... gave us a warm welcome and provided any needed information for our visit, directions, advice, dining suggestions, tours. He keeps a booklet with local information regarding restaurants, shopping, etc. in the condo. The Longosta Beach Club is directly across the street, providing a gorgeous pool, bar, and restaurant, right on the beach; beach chairs/umbrellas, also. The staff there was wonderful, so friendly and accommodating. The concierge, Maggi, was outstanding! She set up surf lessons and a snorkeling tour that were perfect for our family. We highly recommend Ibis at Tamarindo Preserve, and look forward to visiting again! Our Costa Rica vacation was definitely a family favorite!
