GUACHIPELIN ADVENTURE
Hacienda Guachipelin is a former cattle farm transformed into a modern adventure center. Our Costa Rica tour begins with a fascinating horseback ride that takes you through a tropical dry forest which is home to a great variety of bird, mammal, and reptile species.
After the horseback ride, get ready for the tubing adventure. Our guides give a short safety briefing before starting the downstream river float on inner tubes. Your adrenaline will kick in as you navigate through the rapids of the crystal-clear Río Negro River. When we are done enjoying the refreshing water, we head back to the Hacienda where a very tasty typical Costa Rican lunch waits.
After lunch, the adventure continues as we go zip-lining! Again, our guides provide a safety briefing before leading us to the first platform. Launch yourself over treetops, across the river, and through an impressive canyon that was sculpted by lava flows millions of years ago. CANON DE LA VIEJA COMBO
The Canon de La Vieja adventure center is located one hour and thirty minutes from Tamarindo. We start our Costa Rican activity package with a world class zipline canopy tour that includes rappelling, rock climbing, and swings through an impressive canyon formed by the lava flows of the last great eruption of the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. The adventure continues with a horseback ride through farmlands and a deciduous forest where you can see monkeys, birds, and some of the local wildlife.
As the day heats up, we head to the Colorado River where we embark on a refreshing and adrenaline-filled two-hour tube ride through class II & III rapids. A delicious Costa Rican style lunch will be waiting for us in the restaurant overlooking the river when we are don’t playing in the water.
The rest of the afternoon is yours to spend at the hot springs in thermal mineral pools heated naturally by the volcano. The river is right nearby, so if more excitement is your style, spend the afternoon swimming and test your bravery against our jumping rock if you dare.

MONTEVERDE ONE DAY
The town of Monteverde is located approximately 4 hours away from Tamarindo and no visit to Costa Rica is complete without visiting this beautiful tropical cloud forest. Settled first by Indigenous peoples, later by small numbers of Costa Ricans, and finally by Quakers in the 1950´s, Monteverde has justifiably garnered worldwide attention as a premier destination for naturalist travelers. Located in the Tilaran Mountain range of Puntarenas Province, the area above the local communities features an unusual type of rainforest protected in a private reserve open to the public. Known as a cloud forest due to frequent cover by clouds along the upper reaches of this mountain forest, the vegetation is unusually lush and characterized by massive trees covered by small plants including mosses, ferns, bromeliads and orchids. This forest reserve is also the site of much international research on tropical ecosystems.
Walking through this beautiful forest, you get a sense of peace and wonder, it also makes you realize how marvelous nature can be and how extremely sensitive this environment is. This forest is home to the beautiful Quetzal bird which is considered one of the most beautiful in the world.
The Canopy Tour (Zip Lines) is considered one of the best in the whole country and it will sure deliver plenty of excitement to your day. Once we are done with zip lining we take a hike through the cloud forest to gives us a chance to observe grandiosity of mother nature through a system of Hanging Bridges that overlooks at the mountains and the forest in its totality, by this time you will have worked up an appetite and lunch will be served thereafter.
After lunch, enjoy a relaxing walk through the butterfly garden where you can see all stages in the life of a butterfly meanwhile they freely fly around you, the most impressive one being the Blue Morpho a species native to Central America.
One of the most impressive visits is the one to the humming bird area where you can get to see hundreds of those very delicate and beautiful birds feeding up close Around 3 pm we will take you to visit a local coffee farm where you will be shown the whole process of making coffee, from growing it to brewing it.

ARENAL VOLCANO ONE DAY

RINCON DE LA VIEJA HIKE
Come and join us on a beautiful hike through the Rincon de la Vieja National Park. This guided hike will take us along the Rincon de la Vieja National park where you will see 100 year old trees and wildlife.
We will then take a small hike where you will arrive at the impressive 82 feet tall Oropendola waterfall. Here you will relax for about an hour enjoying the crystal clear waters, swimming and jumping off the edges of this magnificent waterfall. After playing in the water and having worked an appetite, we will be able enjoy a delicious Costa Rican Style lunch.
To end this marvelous day we will go relax in the natural hot springs of the nearby lodge where you will spend the next hour and half, surrounded by nature and enjoying the magical beauty of this place. JUNGLE RAPIDS – CLASS 3-4 –
If you’re ready for a huge adventure, then test your courage on the rollicking rapids of the Upper Tenorio River in Guanacaste. The 2 hour drive from Tamarindo to get to the start of this adventure is worth it because there’s plenty of excitement that awaits you as you plunge through twists, turns and drops; down 8 miles of intense, challenging rapids. The Tenorio River has everything a rafter desires, including a one-of-a-kind Class V 12-foot drop! For rafters, this is a must-run river.
The trip on the river lasts for about 2 hours. At the end of the tour we will make a 40 minute drive to get back to the starting point where you will have a delicious lunch. PALO VERDE NATIONAL PARK WILD LIFE TOUR
The Palo Verde National Park is located on the banks of the Rio Tempisque it is one of the best wildlife and bird watching spots in Costa Rica.
The remote sanctuary harbors one of Central Americas largest concentration of aquatic birds and is the most important migratory bird site of the Mesoamerican Pacific.

MIRAVALLES WATERFALLS & HOT SPRINGS
Located 2 hours drive from Tamarindo the impressive Miravalles Volcano is one of most beautiful areas to visit while in Costa Rica. It offers a wide array of activities and services and its beautiful landscapes and forest makes spending time on this area an exuberant experience.
Our tour begins with a horseback riding tour to the foothills of the volcano that includes a visit to five different waterfalls, where you can swim in one of them. After having spent the morning visiting the different areas of the volcano, we will head over to where we started where a delicious Costa Rican lunch awaits. Soon after lunch, we get ready to start a 30 minutes hike to one of the seven craters that are present on this volcano, along the way we will encounter different volcanic activities like boiling mud pots, fumaroles and steam craters.
Our hike ends on this natural pool of volcanic mud, known for its medicinal properties and ability to rejuvenate skin. Here you will have the opportunity to apply this mud all over your body. Once the mud is rinsed off you can relax in the natural hot springs at the end of the day before we head back home.
